I have to ask because it looks like digital camo. What is the very last picture in the post? οΏΌ amazing looking plants you’re making me want to have to put all of my ears together. lol β€œpic from last year” don’t want to leaf you behind οΏΌοΏΌπŸ˜‚ may have went a lil bananas
@OhGollyItsJolly living my dream πŸ˜²πŸ˜‚roosters and all! You have such a cool variety of plants, do you have a favorite?

Right? How freaking cool. She’s actually a β€˜Camo’ Aglaonema Pictum tricolor! So beautiful, and they can get pretty big too.
@Bmd the chickens lol I’ve had quite a few. I breed cottonball silkies β€œChinese silk chicken”, bearded & non-bearded polish breeds in several color variations. Golden laced, black with white tops, & Tolbunt. β€œWhite with golden/red splash” , occasional blue”grey” with black tops. Started white peacocks this year down to one female left. Been horrible year for hatching eggs. οΏΌ οΏΌ οΏΌ
That’s an awesome Swiss cheese plant!!
@Bmd congratulations they are all looking good. πŸ‘πŸ½
@OhGollyItsJolly amazing 🀩 πŸ‘πŸ½ you really have a green thumb πŸ‘πŸ½
@Bmd, I love your taste in plants. I have lots of the same ones. I’ve been growing most of mine for at least 4 years.
@Shells_Garden I have to agree and I think I have all of the ones you just shared except for the Thai constellation sadly, I’ve always wanted one, but I am not paying $50 for one can get almost a waist high citrus tree with fruit on it for that. And that’s just where my mind goes. For some reason lol i’m not hungry or anything, but lol even my variegated banana plant actually has red bananas that taste like a berried banana smoothie.

But I definitely would like someone local who would like to sell one that’s been propagated or trade some plant propagations. Got another discount tineke day b4 yesterday. That’s barely 6” tall for $7 had to have it πŸ™ƒ

Let me not forget to mention I love your plants and they look beautiful. Keep up the good work. οΏΌοΏΌ
@Bmd also I replied about the favorite plant comment probably two hours ago and yeah, I hit the wrong button. Accidentally messed the whole thing up. It was pretty long. οΏΌπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜‚ I don’t want to take over your post by me spamming my apologies. οΏΌ
@Shells_Garden @Bmd lol, you do have such similar tastes!! Congrats on all the new growth πŸ™Œ Brandon I love that shiny healthy new monstera leaf (standard green) 😱
@OhGollyItsJolly I’m not local to you, I’m on the west coast lol, but I’d be happy to send you a Thai con cutting if you’d like!
Look at all your beauties πŸ₯° such a great set-up tool πŸͺ΄πŸ’•
@OhGollyItsJolly the Thai con has been on my plant list forever, and for the same reasons I still dont have one πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I am so interested in trying a red banana- I think nana trees can actually survive my winter!
@SillyPlantGirl πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
@OhGollyItsJolly aw man, I hate when that happens πŸ˜‚ but hey, if you have time and are open to rewriting- I would still love to hear! I’m all ears:)

I encourage post take overs! My page is everybody’s page - I love our plant community:)
@Shells_Garden Hahah oh my god! We have great taste πŸ˜πŸ˜… You have such INCREDIBLE plants. I found myself stuck in your oasis. I hope mine will be as beautiful as yours someday πŸ₯°
@DreamMachine Thank you Nadia!!! With a little help from my friends (all of you wonderful people)…. I was able to adjust my problems and was awarded with that beauty! She’s the result of a team effort if you will- and I’m positive she will only get better :)
@Preciousplants1 thank you much Sherri :)
@robbi_rose thank you Robbi! You have some awesome plants yourself… and your oasis is so professional and pleasing to the eye πŸ‘€πŸ™ŒπŸ»

There’s actually 6 plants in my pot! I’ve been moving the bushy look- but I think I will separate soon so I can get some bigger leaves.
@Bmd aww, I love hearing this! And I’m so glad you’re enjoying Greg like we do πŸ₯°

P.S. to get shop access these days, you just have to send an email to concierge@greg.app and ask if they could let you have access. I waited for so long until I finally sent an email (during business hours) and 5 minutes later it was opened for me πŸ˜…
@Bmd i’m not sure about the Nana tree surviving your winter. See you live in New York. I live in Eastern North Carolina and they can die pretty easily one frost is all it takes. οΏΌ
@OhGollyItsJolly yes unfortunately I’m in zone 7B… ain’t nothing growing in the winter. However my research has told me the specific variety called β€˜musa basjoo’ also known as β€˜Japanese fiber banana’ - can survive my winter! I don’t mean producing bananas and shoots in the winter- I mean the rhizomes underground won’t freeze, so they will produce new shoots in the spring. Especially with a thick layer of leaves /mulch/straw. The rhizome can withstand up to -10Β° Fahrenheit. It hasn’t gotten that cold by me in YEARS.
But I still suggest having at least one in a pot. The one that you want most because it will definitely make pups. I’ve seen them in all stages Of growth. And I think what really got me into wanting to grow. Everything is from the very first banana I received as a gift from an elderly woman two doors down that just couldn’t take care of it . οΏΌ I planted it in the ground after having it in the garage over winter and it grew 12 foot tall and produced three pups. I transplanted one and put it on the other side of the yard which is some of the pictures I showed. The one with hay and chicken wire 2 to 3 foot up. The stalk actually did not survive. The other one did and I think it survived because there was a thicker layer of mulch on the ground around the root ball. For frost to still kill it to the ground, but it came back. From the corns. There’s 3 there now. That being said the ones out in the yard are the most cold hardy available the Musa Basjoo the Japanese cold Hardy. οΏΌ
@Bmd exactly
@OhGollyItsJolly so so cool! I currently have greenhouses being built in the yard - the full set up. Heat, lights, fans, ect. I’m trying to have it done by the end of August- as I will be on vacation for the month of September. Planning on purchasing and putting multiple things to grow in there during the winter months- I will have a horticulturist come in for an inspection in early spring and I will start my selling journey !! I was recently approved to sell with Palmstreet, which isn’t my favorite app- but hoping I can change it:)
@Bmd now after all my research & after my experience. I’d never pay more than $10 for a Musa Basjoo. They are readily available almost everywhere and they make pups and new shoots just like any other banana. I have 5 dwarf Cavendish bananas, started with 1, 4 blue Java, ice cream bananas after selling one, 1 Manzano apple banana β€œnever uppotted so hasn’t grown pups πŸ₯²πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚️ & one red Daka or red tiger banana has one lil pup. This is not including the ones in the yard. These are all in pots I paid roughly in between 28 and $32 for the weird bananas for 1 grew the rest myself. I still have some seeds from a pink Valentina banana as well. Again, maybe I have went a little bananas, trying to grow bananas but I mean if we’re gonna monkey around lol. I did kill my first red tiger banana from I think overwater as a foot high or less Pup. After all of the rest, I have not lost a single one. I lost one to frost, and that was a pup that I transplant from the big mama so possibly never rooted enough. I might try to use a big plastic tarp and wrap the entire family of bananas this year just to see if I can get them to survive the frost. Because in ground, they like to have a family there’s a grandmother a mother and a daughter. The grandmother has the fruit that year. The mother will the next year you have to keep them alive for two solid years or you will never have fruit Soon as the grandmother has fruit it will die so you might as well chop n drop right away. I even practice this in the pots for the banana plants because some of the best food for bananas is actually the banana plant itself.

I hope this encourages you to get one. I would suggest a dwarf Cavern dish. It’s only going to get head high and will blow your mind the size of the bananas off of it this is actually what you purchase & eat from the grocery store. οΏΌya Chiquita are Caverndish bananas
@Bmd that’s incredible and very awesome and I was banned from Plantin right before they introduced the whole selling thing. I had a big following over there. People are still asking me to come back three years later and I still can’t even comment. Lmfao οΏΌ. Honestly, I would love to start up my own thing. I mean I got it all planned out. It’s gonna be OhGollyItsJolly@BJollyFarms 🫢🏽. The guy that everyone has known to know someone🀣 for a good time & laugh ✌🏽
And I hope to be building a greenhouse soon as well I’m actually doing a metal lean too. That’s 12 x 32 in the back starting next week. To cover the back porch I’m redoing & 2 patios im building one on each side.going to look like an award podium? lol high point in the middle. Patio on ground on each side one covered one not. And I have not decided exactly where I want to put my greenhouse. I believe I’m going to do a small one in the back and then a big one in the front. Not going nothing fancy because I just spent 4000 on the back porch leanto. Just going to wood frame it and wrap it in plastic maybe some clear vinyl sheets. But yeah anyway. Do share progress pics. Don’t ask me why I’m excited for your greenhouse, but I am Because I’ve wanted one for years And then go to the local nurseries and go look. It’s just framed up wood wrapped in β€œ2yr” plastic and they make so much money and I’m like I’m not spending thousands of dollars. Framing up in wood, put the fan in the framed wall like a window frame around it. οΏΌ it may sound funny, but if you can go to your local Amish or Mennonites. You will be amazed, and you won’t be sorry
Check Walmart website found a $10 Caverndish with 7$ shipping bout cheap as it gets. I tried to share a link, but it won’t let me share a Walmart link I guess. Seller is Hirt’s gardens have several nice thriving plants from them οΏΌοΏΌgonna be a baby but worth it. Especially once it starts blast with full sun & feed weekly
That's awesome! πŸ‘πŸ»
