I’ve had a busier day today; it’s been cooler, so I’ve been taking advantage and starting seeds for my family’s different gardens. Hopefully, they all make a decent start 🤞. I’ve had a couple of nights of frost, and all my plants I can’t cover have just bombed in leaves. Alright! I finally finished building my monstrosity of a grow light stand and got it set up in the house 🌋! That's Phase One 😅. Next I have to build the setup/decor and whatnot for the plants.... 📣 Hey #GregGang, happy April! Spring has sprung in the West and I think it's lovely! Now it's time for another #GregGivesBackGiveaway! I have been so busy this year that I haven't had a lot of time to be on Greg lately, but one thing I know: I want to keep it real! Since I've been so busy, some of my plants have suffered. Also, in this age of AI, I've seen a few plants on Greg that look a little sus (as my kiddos would say). 🪴 This month, I want to keep it real! Do you have a picture-perfect plant that's in your oasis ... but now that plant is leaving much to be desired? Let's build each other up and show some honest images of our plants. (: So let's do a #GregVSReality post! Take a screenshot of a plant in your oasis and take a current picture of that same plant. Let's see how much has changed. Don't be ashamed!! I was out working on some of my berries again when I stumbled upon this perlite that also contains silica. While some people may not be fond of silica, I personally prefer it and find it more beneficial than other options. In fact, I highly recommend it over nitrogen, which can be more detrimental to your plants than silica. I was so excited to be able to get out of the house today, and on the way home from the doctor, my mum stopped at a local nursery. She got some gorgeous little show stoppers! Then she just happened to magically find herself at checkout with a plant I’d be wanting for… forever! 🤔 Myers Asparagus Fern… ferns and I are just barely starting to like each other, they’ve been my sadly misunderstood plants that I sorely have attempted to understand… I’m sure they all have a few thorny - ferny fiddle head love hardships.. 🙃 (I know, me and side rants..) okay, it was so weird. We really had no idea who put the fern up there. I was in a separate part of the plants when I heard my mom laughing, saying, “It’s not hers and she didn’t know where it came from, but maybe I do?” I said no, but I want one! So my mom was an angel and just said…”it made itself into the cart. How could I say no? It was coming home with me whether or not we knew it.”… “so NOW stop cooing over the plants! The first unfurled about a month ago. Then I moved her 😵‍💫 (in my defense my puppy was digging in her pot). But the 2nd leaf just sat there. So about a week ago I moved her back to her original spot and the leaf started opening almost immediately. Tragically the tip was so tightly curled the leaf started to tear. So I gave it a helping hand and now look at it!! Check out the crazy stripes!!

I’m sure a lot of us are all out gardening right now. This has been a crazy year for weather for, I think, all of us! It’s so weirdly annoying at this point.
