Hello 👋 plant friends and #TheWateringHole crew! It’s Thursday afternoon and I’m taking a watering break 💦 🪴! I know we’re supposed to water early but that’s just not always possible 🤪 Besides I got distracted admiring each of the 🌱🌱🌱🌱 on the schedule 👀. This snake plant 🐍 🪴 is one of my earliest on Greg. I got him November 2021 and joined Greg January 2022 🗓️ 😮. Doesn’t seem that long ago!!! Anyway last year he gave me a scare 😬 tipping to one side, I checked his roots to discover there were hardly any!! I’d been gleefully bottom watering 🥣 💧 thinking the water was wicking up but that wasn’t it. His roots were dry, soil at bottom was wet, and I was faced with a dying plant. Down potted way down, probably a good 2” smaller pot, with fresh soil and stakes for support. Gave him a grow light. Here are his roots today 😊 🎉 🪴 So when did you join Greg? I wish I could insert videos- i know I keep posting sunsets but WOW. We’ve been getting some beautiful ones, and I’m very grateful. These photos are not edited. As for my Greenhouses: I leave shortly for my month long trip through Asia, so I unfortunately do not have time to get a functioning greenhouse built before I leave. I’ve reached out to so many people- it is just not possible. So I quickly purchased something somewhat useful for the rest of the season- just to get some outdoor growth. But I WILL have more functional ones built for the spring. As always I will keep you guys updated :) I put my monstera dubia inside and she’s already climbing like I wanted her too! Happy Monday! I unfortunately can’t seem to shake the rust fungus off of my Monstera Mint. I have been doing treatments with captain jacks for a little over a month now. (Spraying the entire plant once every 9 days)- and there’s still ALOT of new fungal growth. The fungus is only on the small leaves- the 2 largest leaves are untouched, including the newest leaf. My issue is, it’s on the 5 smaller leaves. And there’s only 7 leaves total. So I can’t clip these off. The plant is super healthy and beautiful otherwise. Any suggestions?
