It could be that the mug had too much space and the soil couldn’t dry completely because the roots weren’t to that part of the mug depending on size

I would take the trailing part and pin them to that empty soil so it fills in. I did it a few weeks ago to my SOP and now it has masses of new growth. I just pin them down with untwisted paper clips and re-bent them to a hair pin shape. Each strand can then make several new strands. Hope that makes sense!

@user85b474e5 thank you very much for the idea. I will probably do it right now. I already repotted MR Tuki to a nice terracotta pot
