Good morning everyone. I was working outside on my butterfly garden at sunrise before the heat kicked it. I put in a new chaste tree , three new blanket plants, a scarlet sage and a firespike bush.🌱🌻🧑‍🌾🌸🐝🦋🌻🪻Here is something kind of weird. The is part of a cypress knee. It is part of the root system. Hey guys! Many of you know about my obsession with Tradescantia. I'm especially fond of the zebrina species, and have been gradually collecting them in hopes to one day have all 23 (yep, there are 23 different zebrina cultivars!). My most recent acquisition is the newest official zebrina cultivar called 'MaeVerde'. The lady who named it and got it registered also happens to run my favorite Etsy shop, and I got lucky and snagged the very first one she put up for sale! How cool is that?!? 🤓 I knew my fellow plant nerds on here would appreciate lol 😜 MaeVerde is the result of a spontaneous sport mutation of another zebrina cultivar called 'Flame Dance' 🙌 Photo 1 is MaeVerde, photo 2 is Flame Dance, and photo 3 shows them side by side. #Tradescantia #TradescantiaTroupe #TradescantiaZebrina #Zebrina #NewPlants #Commelinaceae #TheWateringHole #brunchataudreys #variegatedplants #PlantAddict #HappyPlants

#humidifier I have a large humidifier that ive always used for all my plants but specifally for my BoP & Ti Plants. Since start of summer, we have had 80-90% humidity (whether or not accompanied by rain). Today is 95%. I havent been using in our new home mainly due to this but just wanna make sure im doing right by my gorgeous BoP, since she was one of the worst damaged during our move & due to my recent plant care oopsies, im not trusting my gut like i used to. The reason im so concerned about on or off for humidifier is rhat shes unfurling her 3rd leaf od 16“ since our move in June & i certainly dont want her to think i havent noticed her “teamwork“ so to speak! Anyone, please give me an indication if im doing right or wrong here!! Im thinking its humid enough, even w the a/c on but i just dont know anymore. Plus, the last thing i wanna do is to subject my family to any more humidity “on purpose“! Lol

My philodendron prince of orange has a leaf that was green and is now turning yellow. Is that leaf just dying or should I move my plant? The other leaves are all still green.

Hello everyone, I hope you’re well. I usual it’s another scorching hot with more humiliating humidity in central Florida. I found these on one of my milkweed plants. At first, I thought there were egg clusters from possibly a monarch butterfly so I didn’t disturb them. However, I’ve been noticing they have not been making any kind of change at all. I identified them. These are Oleander aphids. Tiny little yellow/orange bugs with black legs. I just doused them with a Neem oil. I made a positive identification through three separate apps. Here’s is my favorite app I’ll share here. It will help identify almost any bugs you find in your garden. For whatever reason I can’t seem to get moving. I have been meaning to repot two cacti whose roots are trying to escape through the drainage holes of their pots. And just like @MariansOasis I have been procrastinating. So I was checking up on some other cacti in the oasis (I’m expecting three more cacti soon) ! And I saw this little guy with the cute little flowers. So I asked myself do I really need other plants? I do enjoy the cacti so much especially when they’re such prolific bloomer?! So this will be a test, to see if I can refrain from buying foliage plants, and cacti-as well (of course). Wish me luck! I will post pics of the new arrivals as soonas they get here!
