#humidifier I have a large humidifier that ive always used for all my plants but specifally for my BoP & Ti Plants. Since start of summer, we have had 80-90% humidity (whether or not accompanied by rain). Today is 95%. I havent been using in our new home mainly due to this but just wanna make sure im doing right by my gorgeous BoP, since she was one of the worst damaged during our move & due to my recent plant care oopsies, im not trusting my gut like i used to. The reason im so concerned about on or off for humidifier is rhat shes unfurling her 3rd leaf od 16“ since our move in June & i certainly dont want her to think i havent noticed her “teamwork“ so to speak! Anyone, please give me an indication if im doing right or wrong here!! Im thinking its humid enough, even w the a/c on but i just dont know anymore. Plus, the last thing i wanna do is to subject my family to any more humidity “on purpose“! Lol

Aww humidity ain’t that bad lol. In my opinion of watching leaves uncurl spray it with water there’s no such thing as too much humidity. it’s nature’s fertilizer & lubricant to uncurl leaves? tropical areas rains sometimes 10 times a day. Are you kidding me. I will probably never have a white bird of paradise as beautiful as yours. That being said humidity has been what has made your BOP so beautiful. ”jungle plant”
in my experience of watching banana Leaves uncurl on multiple different species and in different areas of the yard. I have to say what makes them turn brown or get slightly crispy is too much sun too hot of temperature and at that too much sun too high temperature part of the day is the dry part of the day so too less humidity combination of those is a bad combination for anything big leafy, and uncurling new leaves in my opinion & experience.
I have never seen one with a rotted tip. I have seen one get stuck on the stock and brake half the leaf off, cause it wasn’t lubricated with enough moisture. I will add anything over 80% humidity is just rain waiting to fall and it’s higher than 90% every morning here was 96% this morning at 7

@OhGollyItsJolly yeah? Tell that to my bones & curly hair!!! Lol i hear ya tho
@BuffCaperspurge and already spritzed!! Now for my big Monsteras!!
@BuffCaperspurge do you have any Mandela‘s gold bop? And I have to ask I don’t know why I think it’s humid enough here but you know AC and heat destroys that humidity. What type of humidifier do you use and how big is it? Can I see also is it a ionizer or a spritzer? Not sure if anyone of these words are a thing but I think you know what I mean I’ve noticed the ionizer kind or whatever they are called. They leave a white powdery film substance on everything walls plants everything.
its Homedics; i had about 6 small ones i had dispensed around my plant stand but opted for the one that would take care of the room. I still have plants on 2 floors tho now. My bigger plant stand is in gameroom; i have these large plants. My palms, Yucca, Some larger monsteras money trees, focus and tis arpund the living room and my room. Idl moving 17“ pots!!! Lol.its ionized and cool (if u were concerned lol) it has dial for speeds feom light mist to drench the hardwood floor! It fun 45 hours on full tank & uses the blue whale looking filters. I clean w/dab of Casrile soap & warm water. I only use diltered water in there & on my plants. The spout on top is direcrional too SEE BELOW FOR ADD’L 2 PICS. Had to edit my comment but couldnt use camera button here i also have 2 room humidifiers in my room. One is a himylanian stone light one, other i mostly use as diffuser for essebtial oils to sleep
Hi Tacy, I think the only place thatbcan beat that in humidity is where I live, central Florida. It was 100° yesterday, that’s actual temperature and the humidity equaled it. All my plants are outside either in the ground or in pots. Of course I watch them as closely as possible and find out how much sun/heat they can tolerate. This is one of the reasons I’m converting to Florida native plants. after years of struggling with plants dying out the heat and humidity I just found out what plants do the best in the growing zone I live in. Anyway, I hope to help and good luck
