My philodendron prince of orange has a leaf that was gree...

#Philodendron
Hi Honor,
I feel like this looks like a normal leaf drop. Philodendrons commonly take nutrients from lower older leaves and eventually drop them.
I wouldn’t move the plant just yet.

I would wait for this leaf to fully yellow out, if multiple leaves follow….than I would start to investigate watering/root health/ light/nutrition☺️
Hi Honor! I just got my PofO plant last year, and I also wondered if I was doing something wrong because of the color. Like Brandon said- it could be just natural aging. There are a couple of other things to think about…it could be a soil imbalance - how often are you watering? Is the soil completely dry 2-3 inches down? Is the soil staying wet for a long time- wet soil will suffocate the roots. It could also be light stress- too little light will cause the plant to stop chlorophyll levels and turn leaves a pale or yellow as it slows diwn. Also- too much direct sunlight washes out color. These are things for you to watch for. If there’s only 1 leaf turning color- I’m with Brandon- just let it be. It’s the plant aging- and you have 2 beautiful new growths in the crown- I love that part- the color is so cool to watch as it changes!!
Yeah, I want to say I definitely do not think light is the issue? Mine is in the corner of my sunroom and it gets no direct light, but it is blasted with extremely bright indirect light all day.this pic is b4 the summer growth spurt it’s to the ceiling now
@OhGollyItsJolly gorgeous.
@OhGollyItsJolly I just took a peek at your oasis…. You gotta dwarf Lisbon 😲 I’ve always wanted a lemon tree but it won’t survive my NY winter. I definitely don’t have home conditions for it either. I’m determined to grow one in my greenhouse 🤞 because you know…when life gives you lemons…..you gotta do sumn with em 🤷‍♂️
@Bmd I’ll have to add some plants to the app lol I feel like I’ll have to add a couple every day so it doesn’t look like I’m just spamming lol.I think I have six different species of bananas, alone maybe 5 lol 3 diff colors even. Have a juju fruit tree coming this week. I’m excited for and will be my newest addition i’m really leaning a lot more towards fruit trees and food plants. “ & all things bonsai” I just beat myself up for not planting fruit trees 30 years ago or more like I have a cedar tree in the back corner of my yard. I planted when I was seven, and yeah, it’s massive.. & oh how I would change things if I knew what I knew now. and citrus trees can actually withstand a lot lower temperatures than what people think. Make a post about it asking people about their citrus trees & see where they located. not sure how low your temps get there but it got down to 10° here for a week last year snowed like 3ft. Plants were all looking out the window like damn it’s cold out there
