Got my hands on something interesting today, A whole bag of soap nuts/ Reetha fruits. There very literal nuts that you can use to wash your hands with, the even sud up and everything due to the compound saponin which is a soap like compound produced by many plants as a defense mechanism, The Reetha/ Soap nut is but one native and famous in my area. What other saponin producing plants do you have in your area? I know shampoo ginger is a famous one from South America #saponin #reetha #soapnut #greggang #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict

Starter family, started while home post op surgery. I've only about 12 of my plants for a month and the rest a couple of weeks to a day. Now have 22 pots to take care of and enjoy! Can't wait for they to take over!

Hi what is considered direct sunlight vs indirect sunlight? I've placed my succulent by the window and she gets beams of sunlight at her during sunsets. Is it indirect still because it's filtered through a window?

They are difficult to eradicate in one go. How to prevent and spot Start by quarantining any new plants you bring into your home. Carefully inspect your new plant babies and wipe down their leaves. After new plants are acclimated to your home make sure to scan them regularly for pests. Check for webbing or cottony masses on the underside of the leaves. Nipping them in the bud Most pests can be eradicated using a mixture of water, neem oil, and dish soap. If you're using neem oil, be sure to apply it late in the day, as direct sunlight can burn an oil-treated leaf. 1) Spider mites and mealybugs: Prune infested sections, then wipe down leaves 2) Fungus gnats: Use dual-sided yellow sticky traps to catch these flying buggers Larger bugs like spiders and ladybugs are your friends and often help keep other pests under control. Does anyone have over watering problems using this app? Well I do. Some plants say watered 1 day ago and it needs watering the next day. I don't get that.

App freezes to the point of being unusable Just went to respond to a comment and had to force quit the app maybe 30 times to be able to type a reply… the keyboard and app just stop responding and the app hard freezes. The trigger seems to be if an image in a comment is visible while using the keyboard… when I replied to the initial comment it would freeze after typing one character, if I replied from the top with no photos visible and manually tagged the person it would let me type but if I scrolled down while typing and photos came into view the app would hard freeze again. If you try to just sleep the screen or switch to the phone’s Home Screen and back to the app, the app will remain frozen but fully crash within 5-10 seconds of opening it back up. This has been happening when replying to comments for a month or so, but I’ve never had to force quit more than 3-5 times. Today I literally had to do it dozens of times, this is basically at to the point where the app is unusable. My iPhone and app are up to date etc, this app is literally the only problem. Your bugs keep getting worse and worse, little-to-none of them are getting resolved, there is no nice way you need to be doing better or someone else will. #GregFeedback

Please help!! My arrowhead gets droopy every single time I water it, and I thought that I was overwatering so I started watering less, but it wasn’t really helping with the drooping and now all of the leaves are turning yellow😭
