My Ficus Benjamina (Weeping Fig) Has Been Losing Leaves

My Ficus Benjamina (Weeping Fig) Has Been Losing Leaves since I got it. It drops some almost everyday. I’m not quite sure what’s wrong. It could be not enough light and I do sometimes let it dry too much before watering.
8ft to light, indirect
9” pot with drainage
Last watered 4 months ago
I’m new here but I’ve had my Weeping Fig for a year. He always gets lots of indirect light and this summer I moved him closer to the window and he is even happier. As for water…don’t trust me…I’m an overwaterer. My intention is to water once a week (on Fridays so if I forget I have all weekend to remember) but from what I’ve read he actually wants the first two inches of soil to be dry before watering.
Ficus need lotssss of light. As much light as you can give them.
@PoeticPukatea87 @MamaLinne thank you both! It’s so good to know I can do something for it
