How to fertilize Calico Hearts
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil itās likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Calico Hearts after it doubles in size or once a yearāwhichever comes first.

#succulentlove #calicohearts Received my calico hearts plant today. Any words of wisdom on care? She is in a southeast window and also has a grow light.
-
why are her leaves falling off? Theyāre not even touched and when I go to water, I see leaves have fallen. What am I doing wrong ? Seems like the leaves get plump and then just fall off . #CalicoHearts

Two repots from last night.. I was literally out in the storm, repotting plants. šµāš« can you say manic episode ? Anyways these pots didnāt have holes, & I REFUSE to use a pot without drainage, so I finally got my boyfriend to drill some holes in these cute lil pots Iāve been holding onto, for what seems like forever ! š„° so cute Baby yoda- āSpring jadeā Sedeveria (she has lots of babies underneath her) Cement Circles Pot- Calico Kitten Crassula & Andromichus Triflourus (Calico hearts) What could I put in the tiniest cell, left on the cement one ? #HappyPlants #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #GrowingSuccs #CalicoKitten #CalicoHearts #Sedeveria #repotting #RepotSeason #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #OutdoorGrowing #CoolPotMondays (I know itās not Monday š ) #Succulents #Succulent #FreshFeaturedFriday #FreshLeafFriday

ā¢Red stress coloring from these guys already š³ , Iāve only had them here for two days now outdoors. The colors have seemed to develop rather quickly.. 1- Echeveria āAphroditeā, lots of red showing up, it used to be a bluish green-grey. 5- The red edges, & pointed tips on the Echeveria āAtlantisā, are also a characteristic of light stressing, or direct sunlight. 3&4- Calico Hearts, Iām trying to find the perfect lighting to get those gorgeous red speckles on the leaves throughout the plant. Maybe with time ? They have been under grow lights so maybe now that they are outside in more intense, direct lighting it will start showing again. š¤·š»āāļøš¬āļøšæā¤ļø #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Succulent #Echeveria #CalicoHearts #AndromischusTriflorus #PlantAddict #GrowingSuccs #SunStressedSuccs #OutsidePlants #OutdoorGrowing #OutdoorSuccs #HappyPlants #NewGrowth

Hey #Greggers itās been a while since I have posted an update on my #Succulents so hereās whatās new in my oasis šŖ“ My graptosedum Cali sunset is soo close to blooming, I canāt wait to see these star like white flowers š„¹ Iām very happy because this is my first bloom that formed with my care, instead of me buying it with the bloom stalk already established. Pachyphytum āAquamarineā- she has grown a lot, even though she drops leaves sometimes she is very healthy and happy, she has gotten so full & tall since I got her last summer. š± Calico hearts- I moved her back under my grow lights, instead of a southern window, because I want her to have those goregous stress colors/speckles. She is a favorite plant/succulent of mine, im so proud that Iāve kept her looking good & over all healthy! She has some new growth as usual šš» Echeveria āpink diamondā- she has been doing alright, not as good as she could be but we will get there š Anacampseros retusa- violet and her baby are slowly getting bigger they arenāt as fast of growers in comparison to their cousin anacampseros sunrise š but still just as pretty š #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Succulent #NewGrowth #GrowingSuccs #GrowLights #BlooingSuccs #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Echeveria #Anacampseros #Pachyphytum #Graptosedum #CalicoHearts

baby calico hearts update š± The leaves have grown bigger compared to the 3&4 photos from beginning of the month. It also is pushing out a new set. Itās so cute & tiny Iām glad she is growing, I moved her to my boyfriends to a south facing window, so she doesnāt have a grow light, which I was nervous about, but she seems to be doing alright. š±šššŖ“ #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #Succulents #CalicoHearts #Succulent #PlantAddict

Happy #FreshLeafFriday ! Iām sure thereās more than one of us, that had a long week, amirite!? š³š I know I sure did lol. this Friday I thought I would show you guys the progress that my calico heart has made since Iāve gotten her. I know I talk about her all the time but she really is my favorite plant⦠(I hate to say that & make the other ones jealous! lol š³) Amor is my favorite plant, because sheās a reminder of my hard work, & reaching the top five for the first time two months ago. It it was a very big deal to me, & Calico Hearts was on the very top of my #wishlist .⨠I waited about two months to repot, because I was so nervous to mess something up or make the plant go into a fit after evicting her from her original home š¬š. She also had a baby with her, so that was especially exciting because that means TWO of my fave plant š¤ I since have separated them & put them in their own pots. One is quite larger than the other but the small one is so dang cute. š„¹š I am using bonsai jack gritty mix, with some succulent soil & perlite. It seems to be responding well too the new mix, but dries out veryy quickly. All right lemme just stop rambling & show yall the plants š³. The pictures are in order from the day I got her, to last night. She has grown so well, and surprised me with the rate of growth. I wanted to add the dates for reference. -1&2 October 13th. -3 October 26th -4 November 26th -5 November 30th #NewGrowth #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulents #Succulent #CalicoHearts #AndromischusTriflorus #HappyPlants #BonsaiSuccs #NewPotWhosThis #repotted #wishlistplant #BeforeAndAfter

I know itās been a while! Iām fighting fungus knats & seasonal depression šš¤āļø but Iām here to report good news! I have some happy growers in my oasis still, & im grateful as ever to see that I still have a green thumb and problem solving skills! Hereās what we have todayā¦. -Calico hearts š¤ so glad these have been doing good, I have since repotted her (& her baby that isnāt pictured yet) and they are both doing great, and have new growth. -2&3 Graptosedum California sunshine āļø these have been super easy ever since I got them and continue to put off new growth after any leaf drop. They are super resilient in my eyes and have even done well in the cold! - 4 Graptoveria opalina š super plump and healthy sheās also been super good to me all summer & even now. Sheās so perfect š„ŗ - 5 tiger jaws, even though he has some red mite looking things he is still puttingg off new growth and doing his best š¤š»š³ (donāt worry I willl be addressing the bug issue asap) and yes he has sun scars but he has managed to still look and grow his best. These plants all show me what resiliency can be, and remind me to keep going even when the sun isnāt shining in my world š¤š»š± I hope everyone is getting through the cold weather, (if youāre experiencing that, if not I greatly envy you š) #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #CalicoHearts #Graptoveria #Graptosedum #Faucaria #AndromischusTriflorus #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PlantShelfie #wintergrowth #Succulents
