About Philodendron Birkin
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their heart-shaped leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

How to fertilize Philodendron Birkin
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Philodendron Birkin after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

The delivery service put this in my mailbox rather than bringing it to my house. Essentially, this plant was in an oven for a day before I could get it. I think it's beyond rescuing. Any ideas? #Philodendron

Good early afternoon from my new hopeful home state of California. I have been working among trying extremely hard to get my life back together in the best way for my self. I am grateful for all that is granted to me. I am thankful that I am still alive and happy that I am able to do so much in my life. Here’s an update on my beautiful plants that are growing and thriving in the world of life. If you look closely at my silver dragon plant, it is starting a new stem and future leaf on it. 2) my ficus plant is showing a lot of new growth and I have been keeping her by my window/sliding door after I freshen up her soil and put her in a different pot with I believe has better drainage holes in the pot. 3) my aglaonema plant is thriving with a lot of new growth and starting to show some of the pink in the leaves. 4) my black cardinal philodendron is happy, it looks like the plant has opened up and is growing. 5) my birkin philodendron is doing very well and it is growing among looking amazingly beautiful . Have a great day.

Accidentally killed my philodendron birkin using tap water BUT she wasn’t too unhappy because she was already creating new life. Repotted and am now only using distilled water. I’m sad she’s not mature enough to have striped leaves but excited to see her grown and mature into them.

My Phildendron Birkin (Duke Silver) is loving life in my office right now. I’ve had him 15 months. Tons of new growth with great variegation. There’s a woody stick in the middle, about four inches long. What is this? There’s also nubs (last picture) that look like they are going to be more sticks. Are they roots? Should I do anything? Thank you! #Philodendron #PhilodendronBirkin
