Not pet friendly but, I have had her for a while and she’s been through the ringer and still looks good.
Fast growing. Pretty leaves and does demand water but doesn’t brown when she doesn’t get her way. Just pouts a little. Lol

This plant is also naturally drought tolerant which is amazing because it doesn’t need a lot of water very often. It looks absolutely beautiful in my space and is very easy to take care of! I love the light green stripes on the leaves. Would absolutely recommend this gorgeous plant!!!

Birkins LOVE sun!! I keep mine in my window 24/7 and they end up growing with their leaves basking in the light and it’s precious! Watering is important and I usually add some coffee grounds every once and awhile (not a lot but enough to add some differentiation to their soil). Overall a pretty easy plant to take care of and a wonderful plant for a beginner!

If you want those gorgeous white stripes, light, light, light! I kept mine in a low light spot at first. It lost most of its stripes.

This plants grows pretty easily and doesn’t seem to require to much ‘extra care’ in terms of watering, fertilization and general plant care. The plant propagates well in water. Mine grew two new leaves within a few days of switching mine to water. It has been about 2 months and I think I am going to leave it in water. It has been doing better than it ever did in soil. I have found that you need to make sure to change the water weekly as they grow algae quickly. Overall pretty plant and minimal care!

Love this guy! He was so tiny when I got him, just a few tiny leaves.
Now he’s trailing nicely and I plan to take cuttings to add to the pot to make him bushier.
He doesn’t get much light (hangs close to the top of the window) but grows regardless. Such pretty foliage.
Seems like you can’t go wrong with a heartleaf philodendron, it’s a perfect beginner plant.

Birkins’ are unstable plants meaning you will see the occasional reversion to a plant it was mixed with (like mine did). But I think this plant is amazing!!! With its white variegation and fast growth.

I’ve only had this pretty lady for two weeks and she is thriving! Being a kokedama I think may slow her growth somewhat but I love her striking leaves and red tinges on her new growth. She loves good light on my front deck.
