Is this root rot?
My island Bloom hibiscusβ leaves are starting to yellow and fall off. Before they were doing that they started turning inward. I donβt know how to save him. Can I please get help before itβs too late?

From your pics, the roots look pretty normal to me. If anything, your hibiscus might enjoy a larger pot (Make sure thereβs good drainage). A few isolated yellow leaves here and there are not too worrisome in general but from the look of yours Iβm tempted to think bugs. π€Especially because of the tiny white dots on the underside of some leaves. I would try spraying the leaves (underside especially) with a mixture of water + neem oil + a dash of Dawn dishwashing soap, to see if that helps. Do it at the end of the day since neem oil + sun can burn the leaves otherwise o. In my personal experience, hibiscuses are pretty resilient and they recover generally. π

It can be an indication that something is negatively affecting your plant. The most common causes of hibiscus Leaves Curling are inadequate moisture, nutrients, sun, temperature, or soil pH. Additionally, the reason could also be external stress like disease or pests.

@Locspop I live in Florida so I have hibiscus trees in the garden. π I have a little yellow guy in a pot because of an upcoming move. Itβs been on a screened lanai for a good year at least and keeps catching pests! π So I have been where you are, and I had to clip it down a few times, but it is still going strong and Iβm planning on planting it in the new garden! So donβt lose hope! πππ»πΊ
@Locspop Another thing that can help with bugs is alcohol (like rubbing alcohol). Wiping the leaves that have bugs on them with a cotton round or paper towel with alcohol, or even spraying it. Obviously not in the sun or the heat, better at the end of the day, but the alcohol will evaporate quickly and that wonβt hurt the plant.
