Hello and calling all #hoyaheads in the US.
Just want to let you know about an awesome shop I found on Palmstreet…after I finally figured out how it worked . (It’s generally way too stimulating for me 🤪) Now I just have this shop The Hoya Heaux (🤣🤣🤣) bookmarked, and don’t use anything else.
It’s a small family business selling both unrooted and nicely-rooted hoya cuttings and small plants. Everything I’ve got from them has been exceptionally healthy, unique, and packed well, and usually between $1-20 😱
Anyhoo, their next “live” is this Friday 6/26 at 8:30pm CST. If you see me there, you’ll know my resolve has cracked.

@MariansOasis I’m not an expert by any means, but You’re basically watching a live auction of someone selling their plants. They’ll show you a plant, talk about it, and there’s a chat box for everyone who is watching. You can ask the seller things via text, or ask if they have any specific varieties. Bidding starts usually pretty low, and then you swipe the thingy at the bottom of the screen to place a bid. And the highest bid at the end of the time wins. sometimes they put “fancy” ones in their shop for anyone to buy without an auction.
The first time I downloaded the app I screamed and deleted it (actually shrieked out loud 😂) because I had unwittingly opened a “live” and was not expecting someone to start talking in my headphones 🤣🤣

@Sassylimey yay!!! Peduncles!! My little miniature Bella started out with five, and in the time it took for her first peduncle to now have open blooms, she grew two vines a couple more inches and put peduncles on them too 😱

If you want to just enjoy the lives, download the app on a tablet (don't log in). That way, no account (payment) is linked and you can watch lives for fun!
If you want to shop:
Buy a prepaid giftcard (use Rakuten to get cash back on your giftcard purchase).
Load the prepaid card as your default payment method and once the money is gone on the card, you're done shopping.
