Tomato plant, Basil, ponytail palm and a cluster of flowered begonias. 💀They’re all on their last leg and I don’t know if that can be saved. I really appreciate her thinking of me! Such a God send to get so many rescues at once! But I’m kinda at a lost🤷🏽♀️ Oh my! and flies galore! Came with them! 😢 My marigolds came dead; so I got seeds and looking for live ones. We are on #pedunclewatch !!! 😱🥳🤩 Since I got into hoyas last summer, I’ve only had the start and subsequent blasting of a couple peduncles on one hoya, my crassipetiolata, but it was just the beginning of winter, and he got too cold and gave up on them. 🥶😔 Who’s the contender this time? My sweet Hoya ‘Bella,’ whom I got only last month, as a cutting in perlite, from my hoya lady on FB marketplace!! It has been forever since I’ve started a post! I’m off work today recovering from our drive home from North Port, Florida yesterday afternoon. Lots of watering and fertilizing going on today. I knew eventually someone would try to get me out of my comfort zone of the succulent world. My stepdaughter, after killing off succulents (including a prop or two from me!) has gone plant crazy and decided to share some of her prop efforts with me. She gave me a small pot with a combination of neon pothos and marble (?) pothos and a prop from her green prayer plant (hers is gorgeous). Everyone please pray that I can keep the prayer plant alive! We went to a plant sale while we were there. I was a good enabler and she bought 2 Hoyas. In turn, she encouraged me not to leave empty handed. I bought a tiny pot of variegated string of hearts. Plus that means I might not have to water anything outside 🤞🤞 I’ve been putzing around, doing planty chores, and checking on all my props from @IdPlantThat 🥰 Practically EVERYONE has been doing great 🙌 My new favorite method of propagating!: Perlite + a ziplock bag + my own hot air 🌬️ I live in a cool, wet climate, as most of you know already, and I had horrible luck with sphag. It always molds 🦠 instantly, or at least, within 12 hours 😵💫 I love this perlite + bag method because it is not inducive to mold growth, roots grown in perlite are more like soil roots already, and each bag is its own humidity box AND quarantine station!
