My Hoya Mathilde Splash is growing LOTS of Peduncles - for the VERY 1st TIME! It has 15+ of them and counting! A few of them have little purple budds. I have a few other Hoyas but this is the 1st one to bloom under a Sansi 24 Watt grow light. It looks like it’s stopped growing leaves and is only growing more and more peduncles, even on long empty leaf stem extensions. I hear you have to water them more often so they don’t dry out and fall off - maybe once a week? It’s a 4 inch pot root bound. Any advice to help me through the blooming process? It’s so exciting!!! Busy/Easter madness/emotional roller coaster. 🎢 Now I just want to take a nap 😴 But I also have 41 plants 🪴 to check in on first 😮💨 The other night I sleep-bought a new fertilizer. Okay I *was* vaguely aware of what I was doing but I thought I just put it in my cart…nope! It arrived next day LOL! Anyhoo, if you’re in the market for a good organic fertilizer that literally smells like chicken poo 💩 , boy have I got you covered! But it helped me realize that even though my usual superthrive foliage pro is a vibrant green color—it DOESN’T smell like poo 💩 🙌 That is a HUGE plus to me I never realized, and wow, I totally took that for granted! I had a really exciting time last Sunday finally breaking my no more 🪴 🪴 🪴 rule!!! @DreamMachine had mentioned that she had success with FB Marketplace so I just “happened” to scroll through 😆 and found an Open House at someone’s home, but it was for the day before 😭! So asked her if she was planning another and she invited me to come over that day! I went looking for Hoya compacta veriegated, didn’t have 😔. But I found these beauties instead 🎉 displayed so uniquely on the dryer in the garage 😝😑🤷♀️. Photo session on schedule for weekend👍🙌 Very excited about Sunrise, Chelsea and big leaf fungii. Evidently he’s found a simpatico world 🌎 out there because he’s doing fine and producing flowers 🌼🐞🕷️. Next up another outside plant but Mr Rhipsalis has always been outside. Just didn’t know for the first few years what he really wanted, oops 😬. And that was to NOT be in strong sun ☀️!! Great shaded spot 🥹 next to the front door. Much happier rhipsalis now. Next is Max the Maxillaria tenuifolia. I love the way the sun hits his fatty fat pseudo bulbs 💚💛.
