Good morning planty people of #TheWateringHole ✨🌿🫶 It is Monday, and I’m busy hurrying around watering everyone outside, as it’s lovely and 60° right now, but we’re supposed to get up to 85°, and if you know me, that is hot, hot, HOT 🥵 I am hoping to get back into the swing of regular posting, but I just had a very couple busy weeks, with picking up a regular shift at work, a trip to the coast 🌊 , and we’re getting into the last couple weeks of school for my kiddo. 🏃🏼‍♀️🍎⏰ But BIG NEWS!! We are on #pedunclewatch !!! 😱🥳🤩 Since I got into hoyas last summer, I’ve only had the start and subsequent blasting of a couple peduncles on one hoya, my crassipetiolata, but it was just the beginning of winter, and he got too cold and gave up on them. 🥶😔 Who’s the contender this time? My sweet Hoya ‘Bella,’ whom I got only last month, as a cutting in perlite, from my hoya lady on FB marketplace!! Bella is STILL in that cup of perlite, I didn’t get a chance to pot her up yet, and she has 3, count em’ THREE pedunkadunks starting 😱😮‍💨🤯🤩 As my photos will be peduncles, I’ll add my bountiful morning’s strawberry 🍓 harvest photo in the comments, along with my Mother’s Day snapdragon bloom, and my dahlias (not in bloom yet). Apart from a bit of brown leaves, this plant looks pretty good! Hopefully she will continue to grow and prosper 😊.

Hello everyone, I hope you are well. Here is my rubber plant. Is about six years old and grew to a height of 6 feet. Unfortunately, this winter it was annihilated by an extended frost we had in Central Florida. It was too heavy for me to move, to safety, so every evening I covered it up with multiple long blankets. Despite my best efforts, it was hit hard. While trimming it back, about a month and a half ago, I discovered there was new growth under all the dead stems. It’s growing back with a vengeance. I ventured out this morning to inspect the plants before the sun becomes too intense and bright. I’m back inside now, but not before capturing a few photos. The greenhouse is incredibly humid this morning! The acclimating outdoor plants are looking remarkably better. I’m so excited for my “comebacks!” The first two are Variegated Fallopia Multiflora. I love the Fallopia, it literally sparkles ✨ The other two are my sweet comeback alocasias. One of my favorite alocasias is Variegated Alocasia baginda 'Dragon Scale' (Mint/Aurea variant). Lastly is a Stardust Alocasia. ☺️ Does anyone else have some comebacks, or cuttings you are doing? UPDATE My flowering young desert rose (Thar) has finally started to bloom, and after doing some research, I found that this little one might be an Adenium socotranum; which would explain why it looks so different from the rest of its seedmates. Honestly, I thought it was elongating despite being in full Florida sun 😅 (family photo below). This also means that there is a good chance that I wasn't ripped off and these little guys are in fact different species I just have to wait for another one to flower to be 100% sure. Often the weirder looking a succulent is the more I like it. These are called Stone faces, lithops. Sometimes they’re called living pet rocks. They were sitting on the succulent table at Lowes for weeks and no one was buying them.
