I never follow rules π
Number one rule of having #VarigatedPlants is to keep them OUT of #directsunlightβ¦so I grow mine with direct sunlight πππ They love the sun and donβt even flinch in an extra hot day πππ by the way if you couldnβt tell, I absolutely adore Monstera Deliciosa in any variegation #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GrowLights #sunlightsaturday #PlantCorner #Monstera #MonsteraMob #RarePlants #PlantLove #GregGang #Greggers #PLANTMAFIA #BuffaloNY
@FamouslyAlula83 yes they love the sun, plus Iβve realized they grow faster when they get direct sunlight versus grow lights
@Popcornjoness
Looking beautiful Aja!
And I agree...Rules are boring anyway π€£

@Popcornjoness I love this! I feel like this βruleβ might come around because people donβt acclimate their plants to bright light properly and burn their plants. π But all my monsteras canβt get enough light! βοΈβοΈβοΈ
A βruleβ that I break is that I repot immediately upon getting a new plant. They are almost always in the wrong soil, which also may have fungus gnat larvae, and they almost always have some kind of rot going on (especially if they were shipped) either too dry or too wet. I can treat them and get them in good soil asap, and then I leave them be for a bit.

@pricklydude who pissed in your coffee? First of all theyre faced that way because thats the way I turned them jackass.
@pricklydude Um, are you okay? There was no reason to respond like this. This is a lighthearted post about her plants..
@DreamMachine same same same! Everyone gets a thorough rinse, pruning and repotting asap. If they survive that, that can stay πππ
@Popcornjoness @Stephazar oh dang, did I miss some drama?? π€£ Did they delete their comment? I donβt see anything! That user has made a number of rude and inappropriate comments over the past several months, completely living up to their user name . Bummer for them that they totally donβt get the Greg community vibe π Maybe we should report any in the future?
@Stephazar also, same Steph! π A handful of my calatheas enjoy their morning sun βοΈπ₯° (only my marantas and my roseopicta actually seem to prefer their spot UNDER my plant table in the window π
And I think monsteraβs actually need way more sun than people think. I mean, they CLIMB TREES to find sunshine! π Or at least monsteras that live with me where I am 45Β° North of the equator π
And YASS Aja @Popcornjoness π If they survive my immediate cleaning, treating, and repotting, they can stay ππ€£π

@DreamMachine yea, some people are just on the internet to spread negativity. Theyβre outta here! Wait the monsteras grow outside where you are? If only! My house and yard would be covered in Deliciosa and Alocasia π©π©π© how does it feel to live my dream??
@Stephazar I would recommend going the node to plant route for the variegated monsteras. Itβs much more cost efficient for sure ππΎ
@Popcornjoness Yep, what can you do? π€·ββοΈ Ignore and move on! π€£
And ohh, no, no π They donβt! I meant; with the strength of sunshine I get (I live in the Pacific Northwest) my monsteras are butted up right next to my south facing window and get as much βsunshineβ as is possible here, indoors π Yeah, if I lived somewhere warmer the outside of my house would literally BE a jungle on the outside too ππ
