I’ve been doing some research on this type of Hoya I recently received; I’m not as familiar with Hoyas. But this one I’ve been reading says it was previously known as and is no longer considered this type of Hoya? I’m very confused so maybe someone else far beyond my level can explain it? Ha ha 😂 it’s called a ‘Previously Vitellinoides’ my only understanding with previously known as limits to previously known as Prince 👑 the musical artist.. Hello everyone, here is a before and after photo of my Persian shield plant. This is the plant that was eaten by a rat in March. I thought the plant was finished. Fortunately, I did see little green leaves which can be seen in this photo and I thought I would try to save it. The photo on the left was just after it was eaten. Has anyone ever had a butterfly bloom on their Peace Lily? My daughter sent this plant for Mothers Day and it bloomed a double spathe!! I’ve never seen that happen before on my other peace lilies so I curious if it’s happened to anyone else. #PeaceLily #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy

One more day Plant Peeps! Whew it’s been one of those weeks! I started watering my Florida Beauty ( who really is a beauty! The variegation on her leaves are amazing!) I’ve had her for 2-3 months now, and while watering her I noticed a newbie poking its little head out! It’s an Alocasia of some kind! I was so surprised! I don’t have this type of Alocasia, so it had to be in the soil! I really don’t need any more plants but when these popped up on my Esty page, I just couldn’t resist these colors so I ordered them and I’m in #Bromeliad love. Hello everyone. This is a photo of my hibiscus plant. It was damaged severely by the extended frost we had here in Central Florida. I thought I had lost it. I cut it down to the ground and saw small green leaves at its base. That was about three months ago. I’m not sure how long these plants live. The Internet says about 5-10 years. I planted this plant 40 years ago in 1986. It has a very extensive root system. It has been hit by frost multiple times through the decades and it’s always managed to survive. Not sure y’all are ready for this planty horror story…👻👹 I worked Memorial Day, so had a little extra holiday pay burning a hole in my pocket. 💸 I decided to use some of it to order a wishlist plant- The ✨✨ hoya heuschkeliana variegata✨✨ 🪴 Well…Anywho…. the flipping mailman put it ON THE GROUND against the GARAGE DOOR behind where we park!!! And my husband backed out and ran over it. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🙈🙈😭😭😭 Poor guy was mortified and texted me at work panicking. I finally unpotted today and it’s a mess. But as my dear friend @dreammachine reminded me, hoyas are rock stars of resilience. I dried my tears, repotted the best I could, and have her in a good spot with good soil, humidifier 💦 and grow light 💡.
