How to fertilize Dragonfruit
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Dragonfruit after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Will this plant fruit? Hello everyone! This is my dragonfruit plant, and i love him!! He’s growing super super fast, yay! My question is…will he ever produce fruit? I’m a little confused because when I look it up online, it looks like there are bush type plants that do not, and then trees that do. If i’m honest, I have no idea what I bought. It just said ‘dragonfruit’. Thought I would ask people who know much more than I do! :) Thank you in advance!

New Growth on Dragonfruit plant!! So excited to share how happy RAWR seems to be doing since we’ve put him in his newer, much bigger pot. It was a risk to skip a few pot sizes, but he was growing faster than we could keep up with! He seems to be much happier, now! #HappyPlants #DragonFruit #NewGrowth

Hey folks, I've had my dragon fruit for a few months and it hasn't grown much at all, as well as this it has recently been starting to look very sad and I was wondering if anyone could look at this photo and tell me what we might be doing wrong ? #HylocereusUndatus

Lots of roots!! Am I able to give this plant a trim? He has roots everywhere!! Does he look healthy? #HylocereusUndatus

I’m propagating my dragonfruit from a stem cutting. Where should I keep the cutting? I noticed today, when I was bringing my cacti and succulents outside for some sun, that my dragonfruit has root rot. I watered it two weeks early when I repotted it a few weeks ago and the base is mushy and has black spots. I know the base is done for. BUT I had a stem I was able to save. I cut it and I’m letting it callous. I don’t have fungicide though 😞. Everything I see online says to keep it in a warm, dry place. I have it in a west facing window. Is this good enough? Or is that going to burn it? I’m trying to think of a sterile, warm and dry place so I can save my plant 😩 #CactusClique #RootRot #DragonFruit

Can I cut? Should I? Hey everyone. I have this dragon fruit cactus that A friend gave to me and it was just about 6 in tall and literally just one piece of cactus. But now there's a piece that has grown on one side and it's like about 2 ft long now and I'm not sure if I need to cut that and propagate it or what I need to do because this is so confusing and the first time I've actually had this type of cactus before. Any advice please help? 😅 Excuse the other plans behind it, I really don't have anywhere else to put them except for all my patio table at the moment and it's totally covered. But the dragon fruit cactus is the great big long one that I have my hand on LOL

What should I do now? Hi! So my Dragonfruit has grown a lot lately. Should I start repotting them? And if so, how many in each pot? The plants are currently in a basin of water since I just got back from travelling. They seem to really like it, should I keep them in there? Thanks so much in advance! #HylocereusUndatus

Hi everyone this is my dragon fruit atm-can anyone help me by instructing me what to do with him? #HylocereusUndatus

How do I unclutter these? Yo! My dragonfruit is sprouting like crazy. But for some reason most of them sprouted in the middle, even though I tried to spread the seeds evenly. How should I unclutter them? They seem really fragile🤔 #HylocereusUndatus

This guy is one for someone who is patient. I propagated him from a friends plant and put him directly into soil as was directed. However he has taken so long to grow roots and settle in his new pot. Her plant has exploded in the large pot and takes up so much room that he needs a new one soon. They are easy to take care of and relatively low maintenance which is great! But they do require patience.

A really hardy plant! I water it very rarely. I can’t actually remember the last time I watered it lol! You can forget about it for a month and it will be fine! A piece of the plant was actually growing on the plastic tag that had the care instructions on it. It wasn’t even attached to the mother plant! Both the mother plant and the small leaf have survived and they’re thriving. I would highly recommend this plant to anyone!

My dragonfruit plant, Rasputin, was originally supporting a moon cactus because the moon cacti are unable to thrive on their own. They are typically grafted onto the top of a hylocereus. This left him with a brown spot in the middle, but the death of the moon cactus has allowed him to thrive beautifully since then. He has grown so many new branches, and he’s so easy to care for. These plants can get very big when given the opportunity to do so. I definitely recommend!
