Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

Philodendron Brasil can tolerate being far from a window and light source.
Place it less than 6 feet from a south-facing window to ensure it receives enough light to survive 💪.

How to fertilize Philodendron Brasil
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Philodendron Brasil after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

yellow egg nests? i found a few of these light yellow nest-like things in the soil of my plant. i see three (two on the top, one on the very bottom, near the drainage hole). it looks like they're filled with a ton of tiny eggs. is this a pest nest / how do i fix this? #Philodendron

My plant has brown spots on the end of leaves. Thoughts? #Philodendron

I love a philo with big leaves. Part of their charm for me is their size. I’m debating whether I should put my Brasil on a pole or let her hang loose. 🤔. #Philodendron
-
Next Step? I’m wondering what my next step should be for this plant as the leaves are just getting smaller and the plant just seems a little “blah”! Should I do a big chop in hopes of it producing bigger and better leaves? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation

Love my philodendron Brasil. It’s a super easy plant that tells you when it wants to be watered - and it survives drought pretty well in my experience. It’s so much fun to see what each new leaf looks like since the variegation is always a little different!

I wish it grew a little quicker, but I also have it hanging in a bathroom, so it doesn’t get a ton of light. I love the green and yellow leaves, it adds dimension to the plant. It’s pretty hardy and communicates when it needs water. Great for a first time plant parent.
