Plant mystery solved! 🌱✨ I bought this plant at Lowe’s labeled as an Orange Ginger Torch, so for months I cared for it thinking that’s what it was. Sadly, it didn’t survive a winter freeze. Fast forward a few months… I noticed the forgotten pot had left me a surprise: a few rhizomes! (Yes, I accidentally ignored the pot for months. 😅) I planted them, and before long they started pushing out the most gorgeous leaves. After way too much research, I finally figured out its true identity: Banrai Red Curcuma! Now it’s happier than ever, growing beautifully, and I’m honestly so excited to watch it keep thriving. Hello,🌿 I wanted to share an update on my ficus tree. The middle photo is when I first brought her home, and she was thriving for several weeks. On July 25, I fertilized and watered her, and I think I accidentally overwatered her. Soon after, she started drooping. I repotted her on July 29 to help the soil dry out and improve the root conditions. The first photo is what she looks like now. She still has new growth, so I’m hopeful, but her trunk has become wrinkled and doesn’t feel as firm as when I first got her. Her leaves are still drooping, and the base doesn’t look as healthy. I’d really appreciate any advice or tips from those experienced with ficus bonsai. Thank you! 💚 #HappyPlants #FicusGinseng

My pathos suddenly started yellowing and leaves became droopy. There’s a chance I’ve been overwatering but her soil dried through very quickly . I also moved her to a window near by where she used to sit. I’ve since moved her back but should I risk watering her again #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #helpneeded

I posted this photo to help identify this plant. Here is a plant that, maybe, few people see although they are very common here in the swamps or almost anywhere ditches can be found. This a Water Hemlock plant. It looks very much, in appearance , to Queen Ann’s lace. The difference is there is a purple coloration in the stems where they bifurcate. The flowers also are larger. If you see one do not even touch it. Happy Monday! Rainy day today on Long Island, but the green is Lush! I picked up these 2 new Alocasia (one looks just like a philodendron golden crock without the color) but is a type of Alocasia I never heard of. My caladium bloom has went to sleep (wasn’t pollinated) so it redirected its energy towards the leaves, and she’s big and beautiful and full. New leaf coming on my monstera New leaf unfurled & new leaf coming on my ruby ficus New leaf coming on my 3 kings syngonium Prayer plant props are pushing out new growth 🙌🏻🙌🏻 I have blue mint monstera and Burle Marx in their humidity domes. Still some rust fungus appearing on my regular mint monstera. I’m 4 treatments in, and although there’s new growth- it’s localized. So I do believe I stopped the spread. And that my friends is my Monday update!
