It finally came! Well, one part; the last part of my soil mix. Still waiting on the hydroguard… ugh… 😩 Why is it taking so long? 🙃🐌🩵🌸 In the meantime, I have finally finished repotting 72 plants and more to go… but I gotta take a little break. Later tonight or tomorrow maybe. 🤔 How’s everyone’s last day of the week before the weekend?? I got sweet pea flowers; I love the smell of sweet pea flowers. While they are super toxic to our furry friends, my dogs and cats have shown zero interest. Thank goodness! 😅 We now have sweet pea photos! Anyone growing sweet peas or anything else that smells so yummy and delicious? 😋 Ps- I’m so anxious today 😬 I’m supposed to have my soil delivery and my last thing I need for my water before I water my plants tonight. African violet 🤍 My favorite beauty, the African violet named Ophelia, is an uncommon one because she is actually white while most are purple or even pink! I love her dearly but was shocked and disappointed when I found out that she had a minor case of root rot! I found a solution, though it will be hard for her to recover. I had to cut off two flowers and all the buds and leaves that had gotten the sickness. Later on, I had to cut off another flower, leaving her with only one. I put her in a bag as a ‘humidity dome’. She is fighting and is now working on growing some flowers back! I’m so proud of her for surviving through these tough times and still having one flower! Before and after. PLANT GIFT ALERT 🔔 ❤️ !!! I shared in an earlier comment that my parents are staying with us as they had to evacuate due to a wildfire (thank you firefighters!) This morning my step mom came with me to one of our plant shops to pick up a Aglaonema Spring Snow they found for me (a gift for a friend). I was gushing over some amazing huge Hoyas (a Krinkle and a Linearis) … not in my budget. It’s Wednesday at #TheWateringHole 🌿🌤️ Good morning everybody, or should I say good day [good evening, and goodnight!] ? After several days of ~95° 🥵 I am so very very grateful to be back down in the 70°s 😮‍💨 My plants, however, thought it was swell! As I was moving around my plants this morning I was thinking about the satisfying little tasks of plant care that are delightful. For me, one of my favorites is plucking off the totally brown and dried-up sheathes of cane begonia leaves. No force necessary, once they are brown and shriveled, I just touch them and they fall off in my hands. And I don’t *have* to do this, as they will fall off eventually by themselves, but it brings me joy. 🥰 Another one is when I water, and the saucer fills up but does not overflow, and later when I go to check all the water was sucked back up and the pot is the perfect “well-watered weight.” Do you have any small plant care tasks or activities that give you satisfaction or delight? Also, eeee, new Hoya callistophyla leaf 🥳 ⏱️Want to be notified of these posts when they come out? I thought my Polly was a goner. I posted her a while back when she was at her worst. I took The Main Rhizome and put it in perlite and fluval stratum and lo and behold look at this pretty leaf. I’m so happy right now. I didn’t notice the death wrap around her when I initially planted her. Now she’s free as can be and beautiful too I might add. Can you tell I’m a proud plant mama ha ha ha ha ha. Have a good day all. ❤️ #TheWateringHole

I sure am glad there are NO LIMITS to questions on Greg HA! I know absolutely nothing about these little buggers. The only thing I do know is when they’re splitting like they are do not water them. Can someone have a look please and tell me if these look normal or not? Should I be doing something else to them? I believe I read that when they split you should have two verses one. That hasn’t happened. They split and that’s it. The outer portion just dissipates. Thank you in advance. #TheWateringHole

#TheWateringHole Good Morning, to all around the watering hole. I hope everyone has had a gentle start into the new Week and your Monday is progressing smoothly! Since there are only 8 plants vying for water and or attention, I am curious about something that I have been wondering about for sometime now. If you are buying a new plant, a plant that is completely foreign to you, and you know nothing about it. What do you do? Do you go down the proverbial rabbit hole, like I do and try to find out as much as you can about the plant? Or do you just post a question on the App here hoping someone has the answers for you? I often find if I do the research it sticks with me and I can remember it down the line! But again that doesn’t always work that way, more times than not I‘ll go back again and again to look up the same info. Some brain fart just keeps blocking something I desperately am trying to remember. Old age or lack of concentration?? Well, that’s enough of that! So last night I was up late making a cutting pot for my husband’s work.
