I stopped in Ralph’s/Kroger today to look at plants because I was in that plaza at my bank. I wasn’t really going to buy anything. I have so many new plants plus I wanted to look for flowering plants and all they had were Kalanchoe and baby roses which I already have. Then as I was leaving empty handed, I saw this plant and I had to get it. I didn’t even know what it was but I love the orange. Turns out, it’s an orange spider plant or a Mandarin. Herb’s delivery! I want a little herb wild. 🤪 🌿🌬️ She had some of my favorites in stock, so I had to get them. I wasn’t expecting them to arrive so quickly. So now I’m anxiously awaiting the other mix now. Ugh, this is why people say: plan ahead..🧐🤨. Ain’t foresight just beautiful? 🤦‍♀️😂😅 Live and learn, but please just live, you little herby dudes! Anyone else been getting their herb on? I gotta say, herbs are so much harder for me to do, but only in the winter. And all winter. 🥶 😅 It’s like cinnamon and lavender. I love all those plants, and no matter how much I love them, they leave me. Usually not because I gave them away. Just in peace. 🪦 Little buddies. I didn’t mean to kill you. ☠️💔 But we got this. It finally came! Well, one part; the last part of my soil mix. Still waiting on the hydroguard… ugh… 😩 Why is it taking so long? 🙃🐌🩵🌸 In the meantime, I have finally finished repotting 72 plants and more to go… but I gotta take a little break. I got sweet pea flowers; I love the smell of sweet pea flowers. While they are super toxic to our furry friends, my dogs and cats have shown zero interest. Thank goodness! 😅 We now have sweet pea photos! Anyone growing sweet peas or anything else that smells so yummy and delicious? 😋 Ps- I’m so anxious today 😬 I’m supposed to have my soil delivery and my last thing I need for my water before I water my plants tonight. Just wanting to show off lol- been wanting a Ruby Ficus forever, and it finally got here today! Was worried b/cuz it took 10 days to get here- dang USPS…and it’s hot- 90’s. It’s Wednesday at #TheWateringHole 🌿🌤️ Good morning everybody, or should I say good day [good evening, and goodnight!] ? After several days of ~95° 🥵 I am so very very grateful to be back down in the 70°s 😮‍💨 My plants, however, thought it was swell! As I was moving around my plants this morning I was thinking about the satisfying little tasks of plant care that are delightful. For me, one of my favorites is plucking off the totally brown and dried-up sheathes of cane begonia leaves. No force necessary, once they are brown and shriveled, I just touch them and they fall off in my hands. And I don’t *have* to do this, as they will fall off eventually by themselves, but it brings me joy. 🥰 Another one is when I water, and the saucer fills up but does not overflow, and later when I go to check all the water was sucked back up and the pot is the perfect “well-watered weight.” Do you have any small plant care tasks or activities that give you satisfaction or delight? Also, eeee, new Hoya callistophyla leaf 🥳 ⏱️Want to be notified of these posts when they come out? Had to repot my Snake rosettes because they were popping up out of the soil. Today I come out to water and I have a little pup!! I did not see it when I repotted- but it was there because I took a photo after I finished. Ted was so convinced that we were making coffee when I brought out one of our coffee trees; this is a propagation dwarf coffee plant for a friend. But Ted loves to help me make the coffee. He samples all the sweet stuff and sometimes things he gets a bean and spits it out. But Teddy loves to help.
