So excited to see my greenhouse in a happier place! Iβm sure, like so many of us, we are trying to counter all this crazy weather. Itβs been so unpredictable; weβve gone from a couple of days into the 80βs to freezing again! Which isnβt uncommon for Utah weatherβ¦ but omg my poor plants. π± π So we got smart and put a heat-reflecting greenhouse tarp over the roof. I canβt believe how much it lowers the heat! So happy to have done it. I got a second one to go over my outside plants as I adjust them to full sun again. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #PlantTherapy #TheThread #TheWateringHole #GrowLights #PetsAndPlants #PlantCorner #BeforeAndAfter #PlantShelfie #RarePlants #PlantLove #Hoya #HoyaHangout #HoyaHeads #CitrusGrandPrix
@Idplantthat We've had crazy weather here too. Supposed to get another cool front tomorrow but not cold enough to have to bring everyone back inside. π I'm so glad the tarp worked for you guys!! One of my moves I was packing up the uhauI It was so hot that my plants started drooping. Looked like they were having a heat stroke! Thank God we were only going a mile down the road otherwise they wouldn't have made it!
@princesspitstop oh gosh Heidi! Thank goodness you donβt have to move all your plants in again, thatβs not only stupid hard on you, but itβs hard on the plants. I feel every day Iβm checking the weather every few hours to make sure we arenβt changing eliminates again. πππ€£ Iβm happy your ginger made the comeback and your other plant that you and your husband rescued! Itβs a testament to your green thumb! How are your Philodendron silver sword and dark lord doing? I know you were saying that paste worked pretty well. Oh! How is that watchchain you got a little while back doing?
@Idplantthat No kidding! The only way I'd even consider moving again is if it were closer to our son. Hopefully the weather will level out soon π€ Girl lol I totally forgot that's where I planted it! π Lol AND the banana tree! I was so worried that it was a goner. I'm still propagating the Dark Lord from when I chopped the top off but I see little nubs coming from the nodes so we're good! I've got pics of the Silver Sword. The little ones are the node sections that I cut and propped in Sphagnum. Just recently put them in soil. Then the bigger guy is what was left after I chopped. I left nothing so it's grown that much. I used Keiki paste on my Rubber Tree where it had naked spots on the stem and it's filling in nicely! I'll send you a pic of Deloris in the morning π₯°
I was in my kitchen working on a few plants; so donβt mind my dirty sleeve and fingers. But my majestic first picture and my zebra alocasia just got its first real big kid leaf! Iβd been so fixated on the alocasia I didnβt notice my majestic had popped out two big kind leaves well! ππ
π«Άπ»πΈπ©΅π the last two are before to now. π
@Idplantthat ugh your coffee plant looks SOOO good!! π±π€© Did you get a specific brand of tarp? That sounds like a great thing to have on hand! Your majestic looks amazing too!! π€―ππ
