Cork Elm
About Cork Elm
Cork Elm is a super rare houseplant 🌿 that needs regular watering to thrive. They do best in long-lasting, direct light ☀️ and should be less than 1 foot from a window.
Cork Elm likes soil that is good at retaining moisture. Your plant shouldn't need added fertilizers if you repot each time it doubles in size.

Cork Elm love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Cork Elm does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Cork Elm in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Cork Elm
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Cork Elm after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Is my bonsi (chinese elm) dead, dying, or healthy? I just bought my first bonsi from a local store because it was on clearance. I'm not sure if it is alive, with diseases, or healthy. It had no leaves when bought. Is this okay? If it is sick, is there any way to restore its health. Also, how can I keep it healthy. It is currently on my desk near a window, but I'm not sure if this is the best spot for it? Thank you. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😊❤️

Chinese Elm Help! I really need help with my Chinese elm! I’ve had it a year and it was doing well initially, but then leaves started falling and only stayed consistently attached when I watered it every 2 days which I know is overkill. Lots of the branches are bendy with green interior on inspection so I don’t think it is a lost cause! Could it be a fungal issue? It’s always been in this pot and I’ve noticed some discolouration around the pot edges where it meets the soil. Background: it’s on a north-west facing window sill and receives indirect sunlight for most of the day. I have attached some close up photos to help. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼 #Bonsai #ChineseElm #PlantTherapy #SadPlant #helpneeded #help
