About Strawberry Shake Philodendron
Philodendrons grow aerial roots that grip the bark of trees, allowing them to grow over 20 feet tall! Their leaves change shape as they climb and can grow larger than a dinner plate. Fossils show Philodendrons growing as far back as 30 million years ago when South America was still connected to Antarctica! ❄️

How to fertilize Strawberry Shake Philodendron
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Strawberry Shake Philodendron after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Spots #Philodendron Anyone know what’s going on with the new leaf on my strawberry shake? These spots appeared within the last week. I’ve had it for about 3 weeks and about to repot into a chunky mix (it came in moss and perlite). Zone 10 indoors, 50-60% humidity, next to a window with great indirect light and also gets light from her neighbor plant’s grow light.

Good morning ☀️ @PlantJedi @PoisedAlbo Remember a few weeks ago I asked for help regarding my Strawberry Shake Philo? Welllll she finally has some new growth on the way 😍 I added more perlite and orchid bark to the soil as you suggested making it more chunky & shortly after, a new leaf started popping out!! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantTherapy #Philodendron

What’s wrong w my 🍓 shake Philo??? 🌼mornin folks!🌼 I’m reaching out today as I have a question… WHY WON’T my strawberry shake grow!? It gave a new leaf I’d say 2 months ago & It has legit done NOTHING since then. It gets about 6-8 hours bright indirect light in the window sill then gets an hour or 2 of grow light in the evening. I’ve tried lessening the light it receives, I’ve tried increasing it. I’ve moved the plant. It receives live worm castings fertilizer with every watering as well. It doesn’t appear to be root bound as there are no signs of roots coming out the bottom however since the substraye is so chunky I haven’t tried pulling the plant out to check either… (currently not in window sill but below it as it’s getting its bottom watering from the tray) I’m at a loss here & idk what to do! Please share any / all tips & advice. 🍓🫶🏻 TIA 🫶🏻🍓 #HappyPlants #Philodendron #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #

I think I have to chop her up 😔 I got this beautiful strawberry shake a little over a month ago and its roots seemed to be rotted or dried out. I cut them off and started over in stratum but still have not gotten any new roots and looks like small spots of rot are spreading on the stem. I guess my only option now is to chop her up and hope for the best? 😭 also, she has strange texture on the stem of the newest leaf (which hasn’t changed or grown since I got it). It did lose one leaf since I got it and now they all just seem droopy #Philodendron #propogationstation #philostrawberryshake #helpneeded #help #GregGang #GreggersSupportingGreggers

Seeking opinions #Philodendron parents, anyone experienced with 🍓strawberry shakes? I just got my first one today and wondering if she'll get enough light in this spot. This is a West facing window with a sheer curtain. Thanks🥰

Root rot or dry rot? I got this beautiful philo strawberry shake 🍓🪴 a few days ago from a plant show. After just checking the roots, some of them seemed to come off easily like dry rot, similar to my Hoyas. Would it be better to re root the plant completely? And in what medium? The rest of the plant looks super healthy. #Philodendron #helpneeded #help #GregGang #RootRot #GreggersSupportingGreggers

Root root or dry rot? My #Philodendron strawberry shake that I got from a plant show a few days ago. While just checking the roots some of the outer layer came off easily 😞 reminds me of dry rot on my Hoyas. What should I do? Chop the roots off and restart? I don’t want to lose this beauty 😭 the rest of the plant looks very healthy.
