How to fertilize Eggplant
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Eggplant after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Don’t mind the mess behind the plant. I took a picture during a gathering for my birthday (belated) last night. Aside from celebrating myself, I wanted to celebrate this new bloom by taking the plant off the shelf for my guests to marvel at. I must say, Yoshi is the most dramatic plant under my care. Right on watering day if I don’t do it first thing in the morning, this plant will literally “play dead” until I not only do a regular water but also bottom water. After sucking the bottom watering bowl dry, Yoshi will perk right back up and look greener than ever. Seeing this bloom both relieves me and fills me with pride. Some effort should yield me a season’s worth of groceries and laughs to boot. 💚 #IndoorGardening #NewBlooms #DramaticPlants #Eggplant

What’s this on my eggplant? I have been in a very bad mental state since I moved homes and could barely take care of my plants and now my eggplant has these things on leaves. What are these and how can I get rid of them? #PestControl #insecthelp #Eggplant #VeggieGardens

What’s eating my eggplant leaves? I’ve had previous hornworm infestation in my basil ans mint leaves - but not my eggplant until I see these marks now - I have sprayed it with pyrethrum spray but not sure if this is a similar pattern of eating by the bug? Could it be something else? #Eggplant #VeggieGardens #HappyPlants #PestControl

Fungi or insects ? #Eggplant Hello! I'm here again asking for help, my eggplants were alive and well just last month but here they are now. They have yellow leaves in the corner at the bottom, then the yellowish rises up, almost turning pale yet I can't see any worms or insects with it, my eggplants are now bearing fruit but somehow also dying?? what should I do? I did the dish soap and baking soda method incase it's really a fungi infestation but in my country it's very hot and humid here. Thank you!

I’m very new to this ! Is this any concern that the leaf looks a bit crunchy and yellow? #Eggplant

🌿🌿 #FarmerFam Update 🌿🌿 We've got some new editions and some breakout stars! Newbies (Courtesy of Country Nursery, Spencerville, MD): #dmvgreggang 🏵 #strawberry (a little dry) #hungarianwaxpepper (coworker request) 🏵 #srirachapepper 😋 #ichibaneggplant (insurance since my #blackbeauty is looking a little weak) 🤩 Breakout Star 🤩 This year's star is definitely going to be the grape vine. Only 2 yrs old so I don't think it will flower until at least next yr but after getting bodied by aphids last year, she's stunning! I normally don't include outdoor plants in my Oasis but she deserves all the shine. WE OUT HERE Hey #farmerfam, all my seedlings have officially been transferred outside! Archie was surprisingly chill (he normally needs to inspect every plant as it goes in #naturespestcontrol). Another nice surprise was that my #overwintered #grapevine survived. It's sitting pretty in the middle. We've got squash, eggplant, and brussel sprouts on the left. Tomato, peppers, and decorative pumpkin on the right. A few marigolds in both to help keep deer and squirrels away. #gardeningisfun #outdoorgrowing #veggiegardens #pupsnplants #dapperpineapple #dogsofgreg #eggplant #squashmountain #peppers #tomatoplant #brusselsprout #marigold

~1mth update #farmerfam Hey gang, about a third of the seeds I planted early February have outgrown the seed tray and have been moved to nursey pots! 🌿🌿 The open spots in the seed tray have been replaced with chives and coriander. 🌿🌿 Eggplants are moving a lil slow this year and brussel sprouts are a lil weak, but the squash never let me down. PIC 1: All seedlings. PIC 2: Eggplant seeds opening (finally 😬) PIC 3: Brussel Sprouts, repotted for support PIC 4: Last year's 🏵Squash Mountain🏵 #seedstarting #gardening #farmerfam #gardeningisfun #sproutouts #squashmountain #eggplant #brusselsprout #herbsandspices #herbgarden #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #dapperpineapple

I had to drain my hydroponic garden and make some tough choices with my plants after an (unrelated) pipe burst in my office last week. One of those was moving Iggy to soil and severely trimming down roots to get them out of the garden tray in hopes they’d survive. It’s been about 4 days and they’re losing leaves like crazy, but these lil leaflets are giving me some hope that they’ll make it. 🤞

I have my eggplant growing in an aero garden in my room and in less than 2 months it went from seeds to huge and has 3 or 4 buds already! When I prune it, I give all the leaves to my fish who love the snack (making sure not to leave the little thorns on).
