How to fertilize Eagle Claw
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Eagle Claw after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Whoaaaa this looks like Harvey is finally flowering @SirLiquorice #BloomingSuccs #CactusClique #SucculentSquad #GoldenBarrelCactus

Trying to document the flower over time and to see how many days it will last for. This was from last night in the first pic to this morning in the second and third then in the afternoon when flower was fully opened in the fourth and the last pic is now late at night. The flower doesn’t seem to close much at night. I am curious to see how many days it will last now. Seems like it’s still going to open tomorrow so it’s not one of those only bloom once and it’s done kinda cacti. Even if it was I would still be happy but even better if it blooms for two or more days. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentLove #BeforeAndAfter #OutdoorGrowing #RarePlants #WeirdPlants #Cactus #CactusClique #horsecrippler #eagleclaw

I love the looks of this one which is why I had to get it. It is a rot prone cactus however, from what I’ve read. So I made sure to use a shallow terra cotta pot since the roots aren’t very big and to ensure the soils drys fast. I also used a a mix of two good draining cactus soils with lava rocks added to help drainage
