How to fertilize Mexican Butterwort
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Mexican Butterwort after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Best substrate for a Ping? My little pinguicula is doing better than my last one. However, I don't think she's living her best life this way. What's the best type of medium for her? Soil? Perlite? I lost my last one, because I didn't understand they need to be kept in swamp-like levels of moisture. I'm determined to do it right this time? Any advice? Thanks in advance! #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #carnivorousplants #pinguicula #butterwort

Nothing's up she's just slaying 💅🏻 I saw no thread on this plant so I decided to start one (I might be wrong, I'm new to the app 🤣). That being said, I'm having some issues deciding where to place her; everything I read suggests full - partial sun but I'm getting burnt or black leaves in either 🥲. If anyone has some advice it's highly appreciated!

Strange growth? Hi! I am a new ping mom and am just wondering if these strands growing off of the side are normal? Are they roots or something to worry about/address? I know pings can flower but as far as I've been told this one is too small to as yet. I've tried to look it up but I cant find anything. Any advice helps!

What is this white webbing? It appeared a few days ago and it doesn't look like spidermites and I tried spraying it with peroxide and distilled water but that didn't get rid of it. Does anyone know what's going on with this spagnum moss.

I almost killed this one in the reporting process, but it miraculously survived & is doing really well! It is pretty hardy considering I had already killed 3 pings in the past!
They will do well in a rocky/sandy medium. My pings are planted in a rock/sand/coral mix from curious plant with a bottom lawyer of peat moss to retain some moisture. The pot sits in a tray with distilled water. Once the water is fully absorbed/evaporated, I let them dry out for a day or two before refilling the tray. Only use distilled water!!! If there are no fungus gnats for them to eat, they can be fed dried bloodworms or fish food flakes every once in a while.
This particular variety will turn a beautiful pink color under bright light! I love it!
