Just in time for #freshleaffriday lol - I got a text from my husband that simply said, "I just found an improbable thing happening." While going through boxes in the basement, he came upon the remains of an enormous potted split leaf he'd had for the last decade or so. It had been in the moving truck with the rest of our houseplants when we got caught in a surprise blizzard on our way to our new home, and had been written off as a lost cause. We hadn't even looked at this plant in four months, let alone water it. Improbable is an understatement. Gonna see how she does with a little more water and light before I figure out how to go about re-potting her. š (Including one photo pre-freeze, for comparison)

The edges of my split leaf philodendron are brown and during. What do I need to do for it. It is by a sliding door on the south of the house but there is a covered porch outside so it does not get any direct sun. Watered weekly. #SplitLeafPhilodendron

What's causing, one of the leaf to turn black?š I've had it a week now. #ThaumatophyllumSpruceanum

I have posted on here a few times seeking advice about propagating my #TreePhilodendron , or #SplitLeafPhilodendron , as they are apparently called now. Then today, I noticed this perfect little pup growing, and I didnāt even know they pupped! I gently pulled it up and it looked great, so I potted it right away. Iāve wanted to propagate this plant for so long and I am thrilled to have this pup now! ššš

I got this from a friend and sheās been struggling with quickly yellowing and browning leaves. When I got it, the stems were over watered- but now Iām not sure what more to do to help. #SplitLeafPhilodendron

Drooping like no bodies business Got home to a mad droopy plant. Itās been drooping gradually since I got it about two weeks ago, but this is the most noticeable change Iāve seen up until now. Itās getting hit with light from an opaque window from the SE during the day from the front and a bit from the balcony window facing SW from the side⦠but it seems like the leaf getting the least amount of light has stayed the most turgid ā- perhaps due to being hidden from the SW balcony window⦠but this is no more than amateur speculation. Any advice ?

I've noticed spots on the tops and bottoms of the leaves. It looks almost like yellowish compared to the green color of the plant itself. it looks to me like it's sick. Do you have any tips about the best fertilizer for really, any and all houseplants?
