How to fertilize African Fantasy Thaumatophyllum
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your African Fantasy Thaumatophyllum after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Almost a year ago, I obtained a seedling #wishlistplant and it continues to be one of the rarest plants in my collection, on a purely availability basis. The plant is a #Thaumatophyllum “African Fantasy” formerly known as #Philodendron “Angela” and she’s beginning to be a bit of a beast! What are some of the rarest plants in your collection? Rare doesn’t have to be trendy or expensive, just uncommon. Have you ever seen an African Fantasy for sale? Do you own one? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #BeforeAndAfter #PhiloFlock #PhiloAddict #GregGang

New home shock? I just brought this baby home last week and it had 6 big leaves.... now it has only three, maybe soon to be two! This is my first time with a philodendron and IDK what I did wrong? It's almost as if they are melting. They just get super soft and collapse. The soil is moist, not too wet, nestled next to an east window and didn't repot. 🤷♀️

Emerson is cured!! (i think) he recently grew some new leaves and those leaves are showing no signs of spider mites! The spots on his older leaves are turning brown too!! 🤩🥳 So excited! #NewGrowth #SplitLeafPhilodendron #rehabplants

I've noticed spots on the tops and bottoms of the leaves. It looks almost like yellowish compared to the green color of the plant itself. it looks to me like it's sick. Do you have any tips about the best fertilizer for really, any and all houseplants?

Drooping like no bodies business Got home to a mad droopy plant. It’s been drooping gradually since I got it about two weeks ago, but this is the most noticeable change I’ve seen up until now. It’s getting hit with light from an opaque window from the SE during the day from the front and a bit from the balcony window facing SW from the side… but it seems like the leaf getting the least amount of light has stayed the most turgid —- perhaps due to being hidden from the SW balcony window… but this is no more than amateur speculation. Any advice ?

I got this from a friend and she’s been struggling with quickly yellowing and browning leaves. When I got it, the stems were over watered- but now I’m not sure what more to do to help. #SplitLeafPhilodendron
