I've noticed spots on the tops and bottoms of the leaves....
Last watered 1 month ago
My guess would be pests by the spotting without being able to see super zoomed in. I did zoom in and could see some white flecks, Iβd check if that is thrip larvae. Thrip larvae are white little worm-like things and the adults are black specks and fly.
A good trick is to use a flashlight and sit and stare in the same spots and see if you see movement (easier with thrips, harder with spidermites theyβre much smaller)
If itβs not pests then Iβm not really sure what it is besides something wrong with watering habits, oh actually, I just thought it could be a thing where the plant sweats after watering. I donβt know the technical term for it. Itβll produce sap but itβs completely normal and can make some yellow spots
As for fertiliser I use formulex, I buy a 5L jug and it lasts me a while. For orchids I use baby bio orchid fertiliser and Iβll probably try something else once Iβve used that to get some comparisons. i have used a few different balanced ones like miracle gro, some organic ones in the UK, (liquid gold leaf, erm some I cant remember), Marphyl which I really liked but its smelly and on the pricier side for the amount of plants I have and how often I fertilise.
Unless its a super picky plant and most philodendron arenβt then you can use a basic balanced fertiliser, doesnβt have to be anything fancy. I tend to fertilise more often but make the solution a bit weaker. Just make sure youβre not buying garden fertiliser, usually itβll say for containers or for flowers or houseplants on it
