How to fertilize Dark Vader Echeveria
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Dark Vader Echeveria after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

She’s a mother!! My dear PVN has a child! They grow up so fast ☺️ Could I just leave the baby with her or would it be best to remove it once she’s a bit bigger? #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PlantTherapy #Echeveria #perlevonnurnberg #babyplants #babysucculent

Why is it going up? When I got my #Echeveria it was wide a full then the middle started growing up tall. I cut it and planted it… thinking it would go wider, but I was wrong, haha. You can see the mother created a separate stem and it’s growing tall — again! And the cut that I planted is going tall-ER! (Yes I added a chopstick). And I put all the leaves that fell on some soil, so they grew roots and became independent ones that are growing tall. The question is… how to let it grow horizontally instead? 😬

So I missed an entire week of work and it was the week I needed to water my babies. They probably went without light most days. They don't get much natural light because I'm not near a window at work. #Echeveria

Hmmmm, do I separate these three? The big one is clearly feisty. #Echeveria

This is typically how far my plants are away from my windows...too far? too close? Just want to make sure I'm giving the right amount of light. #echeveria #haworthia #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy

Another one of my #EcheveriaLola 💖 this one got etiolated because it was my first #Echeveria ever, and at the time I didn’t understand just HOW much light they need! Lol! (Just to be clear, I do know now and I have dozens of happy succulents under very bright lights 😊) So I did a chop and prop. The original head is happily growing new roots in a tiny terracotta pot, and this one grew 4 new heads. #Succulents are so fascinating! And this one is now my favorite; it’s gorgeous from every angle! #HappyPlants #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #ChopAndProp #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulent #WhatTheSucc #PlantAddict #babevila

meet oscar and the grouch! i went into a farm store looking for terracotta pots and spotted this succulent in a dark corner, estiolated (leggy due to lack of light) and infested with mealy bugs. but for 4 reais (brazilian), less than $1USD, why not? it even had a bonus pup growing 🙌 brought it home and gave it a thorough misting with a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water. misted that off a few hours later with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water. beheaded it at a point down the stem where some leaves could be removed above and below. powdered the cut on both parts with cinnamon to protect against fungus. removed some leaves from both parts and set aside for propagation. repotted the lower half (the grouch!) with new succulent mix in one terracotta pot with drain hole. potted the remaining head (oscar!) in another. will wait a day or two to water. looks a lot like my echeveria runyonii (topsy turvy) except is dark green and purple, without white powder. hence, oscar. and the rest of the plant, after all it has been through, well, grouchy 🤣 #SucculentSquad #PropagationStation
