Ahhhh thank you so much @vvvelo !!! 🤯🤩🥳 My succulents from Volodymyr’s giveaway arrived and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Look at all these BÉBÉS 😱😱 #vladimirgivessucculentsaway #volodymyrgivessucculentsaway #vvvelogivessuccs I might need a little help with identifying, if anyone can assist, as the only one I think I know, is the jade, and then perhaps that’s a walking aloe? 😂 Or is it climbing? 🤔 I am determined to do right by these cuties! I live in a predominately wet, cool climate (except for a couple months of dry summer) so if anyone could tell me if they think this substrate is a good mix for succulents in my climate (that tends to make things stay damp for longer)? -1/2 my own mixed substrate (which is 1/3 coir, 1/3 orchid bark, 1/3 perlite) -1/2 bonsai jacks gritty mix Thank you again @vvvelo ! Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 Happy Friday!! How has your week been? ♥️ I had a magical, or religious experience (pick what you like 😁) in the forest 🌲🌲🌲a couple days ago, and am still feeling the benefits. 🧘‍♀️☮️😌 Powell Butte Nature Park is only 6 minutes away from me and I’m kicking myself that I haven’t spent every single weekend there! (I’d only ever been there as a late-night college reveller OR more recently, barely inside the borders with elementary children for a picnic) 🥴 I can’t believe I didn’t know the trails through the forest existed, and we only did maybe a quarter of them. 😱🌲🪾🌲🌲🪺🍄🌲🌸 As we got under the canopy, everything became suddenly hushed, except for the songbirds and ravens. Lovely old trees covered with moss and ferns. Trilliums on the forest floor and pacific wrens flitting around. Here’s some pictures for your perusal of my new favorite happy place. ☺️ And tell me: what is YOUR happy place? Wow. I am blown away with the kindness and generosity of @Idplantthat 😱😱 I just got #plantmail and the best kind. 🥰🥹 There are so many new plant bébés!! In fact it’s taken me a few days to make sure everybody’s situated, either propping or potting up. Not only did I get unique and special plants, Dragon fruit!? variegated African milk tree/euphorbia trigona?! 😱 Tricolor Cuban oregano!! Vicks plant, reed orchid, Persian shield, abyssian red banana, raspberry canes, multiple beautiful begonias, and even some mystery corms, how fun!! Rachel went above and beyond with sending me wish list plants 🥰♥️🥰 A freaking variegated anthurium!! 🤯philodendrons galore: brandi, majestic, ruizii, red Congo, green goddess, a strawberry shake?! 🥹alocasia odora variegated 🤩 scindapsus jade, I’m SURE I’m forgetting some. EDIT: plus a pink syngonium, ginger, turmeric, agave, pineapple, and a MoT! My new babies arrived today! The four I’ve been waiting for months to arrive; finally arrived! Yay! Then my Hoya surprise plants came today! Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 It’s #untidytuesday at the #TheWateringHole and holy moly I’m just realizing I don’t think I’ve posted in over a week! 😱 Not intentional, it was rather a hard last couple weeks. Busy/Easter madness/emotional roller coaster. 🎢 Now I just want to take a nap 😴 But I also have 41 plants 🪴 to check in on first 😮‍💨 The other night I sleep-bought a new fertilizer. Okay I *was* vaguely aware of what I was doing but I thought I just put it in my cart…nope! It arrived next day LOL! Anyhoo, if you’re in the market for a good organic fertilizer that literally smells like chicken poo 💩 , boy have I got you covered! But it helped me realize that even though my usual superthrive foliage pro is a vibrant green color—it DOESN’T smell like poo 💩 🙌 That is a HUGE plus to me I never realized, and wow, I totally took that for granted! Here’s some things going on in my neck of the woods. My beautiful begonia maculara flowering, again! Mushroom kit growing. the fertilizer. And some of my little seedlings! It was in soil that was hard as a rock. He brought it home to me and I repotted it. It threw a big fit, lost leaves and even dropped whole branches. Yesterday, I saw 3 new stems (the other one is on the other side) busting out of both stalks. I didn't know that it would randomly decide to grow stems wherever it wanted to!! I thought that I would have to cut it to get it to do that! Apparently not! I'm so excited to see it fill back in!! 😊

About a year ago, a stray cat got stuck in my pool area after falling through the birdcage mesh. It then proceeded to wreak havoc on my garden, trying to escape my dog The cat was fortunately unharmed, but my young burro's tail, Mule, was broken and scattered all over the ground. I was devastated because I had just gotten him looking nice and lush, and now he was in pieces 😢; he looked such a mess I couldn't stand it 😭; it really felt like the end of the world right there. However, Mule was still my plant baby, so I couldn't just give up on him 😔. So I salvaged what I could, repotted every last piece into a hanging basket, and prayed he'd pull through. However, little did I know that burro’s tails are some of the few succulents that will propagate from anything; so three burro tails became several and counting, and the scattered mess is quickly becoming the picture-perfect hanging succulent I always dreamed of, and it's all thanks to that cat 🤭. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove #HangingPlants #BurrosTail #SucculentSquad #Succulents

Hello my loves 🫶🌿 Happy Tuesday #TheWateringHole , or should I say, happy #untidytuesday 😏 (It’s ALWAYS #untidytuesday at my house, ha ha ha! 😂😄…🥺😭😭 ) It’s been hot here, the last few days (80° F 🥵) and we are all looking forward to rain 🌧️ ☔️ tomorrow and in the 60°’s again, ahhh 🧘‍♀️. Plus that means I might not have to water anything outside 🤞🤞 I’ve been putzing around, doing planty chores, and checking on all my props from @IdPlantThat 🥰 Practically EVERYONE has been doing great 🙌 My new favorite method of propagating!: Perlite + a ziplock bag + my own hot air 🌬️ I live in a cool, wet climate, as most of you know already, and I had horrible luck with sphag. It always molds 🦠 instantly, or at least, within 12 hours 😵‍💫 I love this perlite + bag method because it is not inducive to mold growth, roots grown in perlite are more like soil roots already, and each bag is its own humidity box AND quarantine station! Good Tuesday afternoon to all at #TheWateringHole 🪴 ☀️!! We had a bright sunny morning ☀️ Clouds ☁️ are now rolling in which makes for a calmer, quieter afternoon along the coast 😌. Went to a horse show last week 😁 🐴 in Burbank. Home now to 💦 and catch up!! Here’s what’s happening: Hoya tricolor wayetii in full flower peduncle mode!! There are 2 flowers out and at least a dozen pedunkadunks 🌸! For the orchid set up I added a second grow light, one on bottom now too. You know, it’s all about the orchids🤪😜😆. Not done arranging and rearranging yet, that’ll take a few days for me to stop fussing 🤫🫠🫥. Next up a new leaf on the Congo Red 😘❤️ love him. And for #untidyTuesday my Blue Star fern that’s been stuck between neutral and reverse for months!! Threw a personal grow light on her to see if that’s what’s ailing her?? Not sure if it’s springtime or the light but there’s growth 🙌 What’s been happening in your world 🌎 🪴 lately. Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 It’s a wet drizzly 🌧️☔️💦🌲🌲🌲Wednesday here in the PNW, and I had roughly 1 billion pounds of library books to return today. But luckily my library is only a three minute walk, I had my trusty wagon, (complete with a VERY classy 💅🏼 clear trash bag to protect my books 📚 ), and I just adore walking through the mini two-acre nature preserve that sits right next to the library. 🌲🌲🪾🌲🪵🌿 I have a book recommendation for those that have gotten interested in botany. I ended up buying the book because I love it so much. Botany in a Day, by Thomas J. Elpel Instead of learning plants one at a time, this book helps you recognize and learn the PATTERNS of the FAMILIES of the plants. 🪴 Once you have the families down, you could potentially recognize a plant in the wild, and know something about it, even if you don’t know its name! There’s also many pages of quick guides, to things like flower terms 🌻 leaf shapes 🍃and plant family keys 📖. I can’t recommend it enough! Plus one more pic of my new geogenanthus poeppigii because I love him so much 🥰🥰🥰 How are you all doing today? I’m SOOOO EXCITED and HAPPY! 👀 Looks like my 1 year old Hoya Mathilde is likely going to 🌸 BLOOM 🌸 like crazy for the 1st time (and hopefully keep all her NEW 20+ penduncles for next time 😮) She stopped growing leaves and is only growing flowers, even on all her long empty leaf stems. 😍. She’s a 1st time bloomer! OMG so exciting to watch it go through all these stages 🎉💚👏🏻 1st time I’ve ever been through a Hoya blooming process. None of my other Hoyas have bloomed before. Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 It’s #untidytuesday at the #TheWateringHole and holy moly I’m just realizing I don’t think I’ve posted in over a week! 😱 Not intentional, it was rather a hard last couple weeks. Busy/Easter madness/emotional roller coaster. 🎢 Now I just want to take a nap 😴 But I also have 41 plants 🪴 to check in on first 😮‍💨 The other night I sleep-bought a new fertilizer. Okay I *was* vaguely aware of what I was doing but I thought I just put it in my cart…nope! It arrived next day LOL! Anyhoo, if you’re in the market for a good organic fertilizer that literally smells like chicken poo 💩 , boy have I got you covered! But it helped me realize that even though my usual superthrive foliage pro is a vibrant green color—it DOESN’T smell like poo 💩 🙌 That is a HUGE plus to me I never realized, and wow, I totally took that for granted! Here’s some things going on in my neck of the woods. My beautiful begonia maculara flowering, again! Mushroom kit growing. the fertilizer. And some of my little seedlings! It was in soil that was hard as a rock. He brought it home to me and I repotted it. It threw a big fit, lost leaves and even dropped whole branches. Yesterday, I saw 3 new stems (the other one is on the other side) busting out of both stalks. I didn't know that it would randomly decide to grow stems wherever it wanted to!! I thought that I would have to cut it to get it to do that! Apparently not! I'm so excited to see it fill back in!! 😊

About a year ago, a stray cat got stuck in my pool area after falling through the birdcage mesh. It then proceeded to wreak havoc on my garden, trying to escape my dog The cat was fortunately unharmed, but my young burro's tail, Mule, was broken and scattered all over the ground. I was devastated because I had just gotten him looking nice and lush, and now he was in pieces 😢; he looked such a mess I couldn't stand it 😭; it really felt like the end of the world right there. However, Mule was still my plant baby, so I couldn't just give up on him 😔. So I salvaged what I could, repotted every last piece into a hanging basket, and prayed he'd pull through. However, little did I know that burro’s tails are some of the few succulents that will propagate from anything; so three burro tails became several and counting, and the scattered mess is quickly becoming the picture-perfect hanging succulent I always dreamed of, and it's all thanks to that cat 🤭. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #PetsAndPlants #PlantLove #HangingPlants #BurrosTail #SucculentSquad #Succulents

Hello my loves 🫶🌿 Happy Tuesday #TheWateringHole , or should I say, happy #untidytuesday 😏 (It’s ALWAYS #untidytuesday at my house, ha ha ha! 😂😄…🥺😭😭 ) It’s been hot here, the last few days (80° F 🥵) and we are all looking forward to rain 🌧️ ☔️ tomorrow and in the 60°’s again, ahhh 🧘‍♀️. Plus that means I might not have to water anything outside 🤞🤞 I’ve been putzing around, doing planty chores, and checking on all my props from @IdPlantThat 🥰 Practically EVERYONE has been doing great 🙌 My new favorite method of propagating!: Perlite + a ziplock bag + my own hot air 🌬️ I live in a cool, wet climate, as most of you know already, and I had horrible luck with sphag. It always molds 🦠 instantly, or at least, within 12 hours 😵‍💫 I love this perlite + bag method because it is not inducive to mold growth, roots grown in perlite are more like soil roots already, and each bag is its own humidity box AND quarantine station! Good Tuesday afternoon to all at #TheWateringHole 🪴 ☀️!! We had a bright sunny morning ☀️ Clouds ☁️ are now rolling in which makes for a calmer, quieter afternoon along the coast 😌. Went to a horse show last week 😁 🐴 in Burbank. Home now to 💦 and catch up!! Here’s what’s happening: Hoya tricolor wayetii in full flower peduncle mode!! There are 2 flowers out and at least a dozen pedunkadunks 🌸! For the orchid set up I added a second grow light, one on bottom now too. You know, it’s all about the orchids🤪😜😆. Not done arranging and rearranging yet, that’ll take a few days for me to stop fussing 🤫🫠🫥. Next up a new leaf on the Congo Red 😘❤️ love him. And for #untidyTuesday my Blue Star fern that’s been stuck between neutral and reverse for months!! Threw a personal grow light on her to see if that’s what’s ailing her?? Not sure if it’s springtime or the light but there’s growth 🙌 What’s been happening in your world 🌎 🪴 lately. Hello my loves! 🥰🌿 It’s a wet drizzly 🌧️☔️💦🌲🌲🌲Wednesday here in the PNW, and I had roughly 1 billion pounds of library books to return today. But luckily my library is only a three minute walk, I had my trusty wagon, (complete with a VERY classy 💅🏼 clear trash bag to protect my books 📚 ), and I just adore walking through the mini two-acre nature preserve that sits right next to the library. 🌲🌲🪾🌲🪵🌿 I have a book recommendation for those that have gotten interested in botany. I ended up buying the book because I love it so much. Botany in a Day, by Thomas J. Elpel Instead of learning plants one at a time, this book helps you recognize and learn the PATTERNS of the FAMILIES of the plants. 🪴 Once you have the families down, you could potentially recognize a plant in the wild, and know something about it, even if you don’t know its name! There’s also many pages of quick guides, to things like flower terms 🌻 leaf shapes 🍃and plant family keys 📖. I can’t recommend it enough! Plus one more pic of my new geogenanthus poeppigii because I love him so much 🥰🥰🥰 How are you all doing today? I’m SOOOO EXCITED and HAPPY! 👀 Looks like my 1 year old Hoya Mathilde is likely going to 🌸 BLOOM 🌸 like crazy for the 1st time (and hopefully keep all her NEW 20+ penduncles for next time 😮) She stopped growing leaves and is only growing flowers, even on all her long empty leaf stems. 😍. She’s a 1st time bloomer! OMG so exciting to watch it go through all these stages 🎉💚👏🏻 1st time I’ve ever been through a Hoya blooming process. None of my other Hoyas have bloomed before.
