PLANT GIFT ALERT 🔔 ❤️ !!! I shared in an earlier comment that my parents are staying with us as they had to evacuate due to a wildfire (thank you firefighters!) This morning my step mom came with me to one of our plant shops to pick up a Aglaonema Spring Snow they found for me (a gift for a friend). I was gushing over some amazing huge Hoyas (a Krinkle and a Linearis) … not in my budget. Good morning ☀️ plant family! Woke up to this newbie today! Planted 2 bare root day lilies a couple of months ago that I got on sale from rePotme. This is the first to bloom👍🙌. It’s labeled butterscotch ginger 🫠 Haven’t planted my own before, the day lilies in my yard were already here 🏡 planted by previous owner. I am THRILLED that my little-hoya-that-could has its first bloom!!! She’s a 1 year old (from cuttings off of a much older plant) that has just defied expectations in growth. And the smell is….DRUMROLL PLEASE…feet! 1000 year old feet! Lolol Or possibly swampa$$? Volleyball socks that were left in a bag for four weeks? A decomposing body? 😆😆🤣🤣🤢🤢🥴😵😵‍💫It’s sooooo bad! Lol!! I’m torn because it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! What’s crazy is that if you put your nose to the blooms, it smells like chocolate! But my entire sunroom smells terrrible from it. Bing Cherries Gone WILD! 🍒 A neighbor/friend has a big ole VERY happy cherry tree and they invited us to come pick. #thewateringhole Happy Father's Day to all the Baddie Daddies out there!! Long time no post 🫶 so I thought I'd throw one out there. I hope everyone is doing well and having a wonderful Sunday 🙏☺️ I love this time of year and although it's hot as Hades in Central Texas 🔥 Everything in the Oasis is green, lush and in full bloom. Here are a few plants that are showing out today. Not sure if they're going to be in correct order 🤷‍♀️ *Prince of Orange (the new leaves are almost neon!) * Aglaonema Chinese Evergreen - has a baby bloom 😍 looks like a tiny Peace Lily flower. * Monstera Deliciosa - I've got HOLES! 🕳️ Or Perforations if you're fancy 🎉 I just noticed the singular "hole" this morning on a different leaf. Herb’s delivery! I want a little herb wild. 🤪 🌿🌬️ She had some of my favorites in stock, so I had to get them. I wasn’t expecting them to arrive so quickly. So now I’m anxiously awaiting the other mix now. Ugh, this is why people say: plan ahead..🧐🤨. Ain’t foresight just beautiful? 🤦‍♀️😂😅 Live and learn, but please just live, you little herby dudes! Anyone else been getting their herb on? I gotta say, herbs are so much harder for me to do, but only in the winter. And all winter. 🥶 😅 It’s like cinnamon and lavender. Yesterday I had to repot my Snake plant. It got so big it was coming up out of the pot. I always take the old soil and put it in a tree or bush out in the yard. My husband found this little guy deep down in the pot. He had to be at the bottom of the 12 inch pot because I was all up in that pot and did not see him. He’s just a baby- about an inch or inch and a half. Had to share cuz he’s so cute! #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #PetsAndPlants #GregGang

#TheWateringHole Hello All, and Good Afternoon, I have been feeling rather lackadaisical these past few weeks. It seems that my “Get Up And Go”, got up and left? I keep telling myself that I should be doing this, that, and the other but I cannot seem to get anyof it done! Oh well, tomorrow is another day! I did manage to get the plants watered, those that needed watering. So today there are 20 more asking for attention/water. And I did find a new bloom on the Rebutia Albipilosa, did you know that cacti need much more water when they are blooming, or to get them to flower. But the line between a bit more water and overwatering is very fine! And the correct balance is crucial. On my walk yesterday I saw these blooming Frangipani, it had just stopped raining and the colors looked so intense I had to take pictures. Of course I couldn’t overlook the BoP. And I don’t know who that little yellow flower belongs to, but it looked so perfect with the water droplets I just had to post it. Please keep in mind that these aren’t mine and they live outside by the parking lot. It’s Monday at #TheWateringHole and I’m unmotivated… thinking I need a new hashtag like #UnMotivatedMonday or #MopeyMonday 😮‍💨 We’ve got #untidyTuesday so why not!?!🥴Typically I’ve got pics of pretty new things doin’ their thang, but lately not so much 🤷‍♀️ 🤪. I think the recent mealy bug/thrip discovery has left me feeling deflated. It won’t last but it’s a real thing for me, now & then. Figuring others probably feel this way too sometimes. It’s not always ☀️ 🌈 & 💐 people, right? 🤪 So rant over (I’m feeling better already 🫣) and here’s a pic of one of my plants that’s got his #UnMotivatedMonday going on too! Syngoniums were OG plants for me, 💚 them! Then slowly they all turned into long stringy, pathetic vines. I got rid of all but this bitty Panda. We both have #MopeyMonday. I need motivation. She never gets long enough to chop & prop. She did pop a new leaf up at the soil line so I’m hopeful there🤞. Anything going on in your oasis that’s got you feeling frustrated or defeated? It’s Saturday afternoon and despite the forecast of grey clouds ☁️ all day, we’ve got some sunshine ☀️! The last few days were hectic so happy to just hang out today, water some of the 40 waiting for 💦, get some laundry 🧺 done and watch a little baseball ⚾️ 😄. I got sweet pea flowers; I love the smell of sweet pea flowers. While they are super toxic to our furry friends, my dogs and cats have shown zero interest. Thank goodness! 😅 We now have sweet pea photos! Anyone growing sweet peas or anything else that smells so yummy and delicious? 😋 Ps- I’m so anxious today 😬 I’m supposed to have my soil delivery and my last thing I need for my water before I water my plants tonight. Yesterday I had to repot my Snake plant. It got so big it was coming up out of the pot. I always take the old soil and put it in a tree or bush out in the yard. My husband found this little guy deep down in the pot. He had to be at the bottom of the 12 inch pot because I was all up in that pot and did not see him. #TheWateringHole Hello All, and Good Afternoon, I have been feeling rather lackadaisical these past few weeks. It seems that my “Get Up And Go”, got up and left? I keep telling myself that I should be doing this, that, and the other but I cannot seem to get anyof it done! Oh well, tomorrow is another day! I did manage to get the plants watered, those that needed watering. So today there are 20 more asking for attention/water. And I did find a new bloom on the Rebutia Albipilosa, did you know that cacti need much more water when they are blooming, or to get them to flower. But the line between a bit more water and overwatering is very fine! And the correct balance is crucial. On my walk yesterday I saw these blooming Frangipani, it had just stopped raining and the colors looked so intense I had to take pictures. Of course I couldn’t overlook the BoP. And I don’t know who that little yellow flower belongs to, but it looked so perfect with the water droplets I just had to post it. Please keep in mind that these aren’t mine and they live outside by the parking lot. It’s Monday at #TheWateringHole and I’m unmotivated… thinking I need a new hashtag like #UnMotivatedMonday or #MopeyMonday 😮‍💨 We’ve got #untidyTuesday so why not!?!🥴Typically I’ve got pics of pretty new things doin’ their thang, but lately not so much 🤷‍♀️ 🤪. I think the recent mealy bug/thrip discovery has left me feeling deflated. It won’t last but it’s a real thing for me, now & then. Figuring others probably feel this way too sometimes. It’s not always ☀️ 🌈 & 💐 people, right? 🤪 So rant over (I’m feeling better already 🫣) and here’s a pic of one of my plants that’s got his #UnMotivatedMonday going on too! Syngoniums were OG plants for me, 💚 them! Then slowly they all turned into long stringy, pathetic vines. I got rid of all but this bitty Panda. We both have #MopeyMonday. I need motivation. She never gets long enough to chop & prop. She did pop a new leaf up at the soil line so I’m hopeful there🤞. Anything going on in your oasis that’s got you feeling frustrated or defeated? It’s Saturday afternoon and despite the forecast of grey clouds ☁️ all day, we’ve got some sunshine ☀️! The last few days were hectic so happy to just hang out today, water some of the 40 waiting for 💦, get some laundry 🧺 done and watch a little baseball ⚾️ 😄. I got sweet pea flowers; I love the smell of sweet pea flowers. While they are super toxic to our furry friends, my dogs and cats have shown zero interest. Thank goodness! 😅 We now have sweet pea photos! Anyone growing sweet peas or anything else that smells so yummy and delicious? 😋 Ps- I’m so anxious today 😬 I’m supposed to have my soil delivery and my last thing I need for my water before I water my plants tonight.
