Iā€™ve had this cactus for around 2 weeks. Only watered once! Anyone know why itā€™s turning brown? I have just moved it onto a window sill to see if that helps

Itā€™s not happy. Itā€™s got a weird fungus or something on it and the stems are not happy. It looks like it is dying and I donā€™t know what to do.

I have new peace lilies and I am looking at sites that tell me to water once a week or when dry to the touch.mine are getting dry and drooping after 2-3 days. Is this normal? Should I be watering more (about a 1/2 cup each time. Any advice?
