How to fertilize Variegated Corncob Cactus
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Variegated Corncob Cactus after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Incredibly perplexing update…. After checking on Goliath this morning I noticed the stalk that’s been withering is almost fully discolored—I don’t remember it being like that yesterday so I have removed it from the pot in case it’s necrotic or infected (although if it was fungal/bacterial it’s already in the soil for the other two😔) Are there any steps I should take to ensure the other two stalks don’t die as well? (At the moment neither of the remaining stalks is showing any sign of discoloration or shriveling.) #CorncobCactus #Withering

Is there any specific reason these stems are turning brown? I’m noticing that the side of Goliath that is usually facing the window has branches that are turning brown… I don’t think it’s been cold enough for it to freeze through the window—and it would’ve gotten my other window plant anyways if it had… If not cold damage, what would’ve caused this? #CorncobCactus

Succulent season (outdoors) is coming to a close! This week in NC we are having a warm week with mid 70s and 80s. My plants are showing some signs of stress coloring from dropping temps. (Photo 5) my ‘Variegated CornCob’ cactus has some pink prickles (I guess you could call them?🤣). I also have an echeveria/pachyveria (idk never could find proper ID) that is in bloom for the 5th time since I got it this year. (Photo 4) Photos 1 and 2 are showing off my new plant stand, I found on the side of the road. I love finding second hand things! It’s always more gratifying than buying things lol. 🙌🏻🌿💕🌸 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #SucculentSquad #SucculentLove #Succulent #Succulents #CactusClique #Cacti #PlantShelfie #PlantCorner #BloomingSuccs #SuccerForSucculents #WhatTheSucc #WhatTheSuccWednesday

Rescue tips? I got this corn cob cactus a few days ago and he’s looking a little rough. Any tips to help breathe life into him? i’m also new to the plant world so all i’ve done is repotted him into a slightly bigger plastic pot with drainage holes. thinking about moving him to a larger terracotta pot, but i don’t know what would be a good size?

Should I get a grow light? I don’t really have a window in my home with a ledge I could set him on. #Euphorbia
