Finding light for Umbrella Tree in your home
a window
Umbrella Tree may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize Umbrella Tree
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Umbrella Tree after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

How do you propagate this plant? Has anyone successfully done this? #Schefflera

My 6 ft Umbrella tree has been dropping leaves every day for about a week or two. Please tell me this is normal Fall behavior. I've checked for pests and fungus...none. The only thing I can think of is the watering schedule. What do I do to save my tree? #Schefflera

I purchased his guy from Aldi for $15. He was root bound, so I repotted him in a bigger pot and switched to terra cotta. I was wondering why some of the leaves are “curled” up. They were like this prior to the repot. Thanks for your help. #Schefflera

Black droopy leaves on my umbrella plant How can I help my plant get better ?

#PropagationStation #UmbrellaTree #GreggersSupportingGreggers #HappyPlamts #Schefflera This Schiffer was given to my father in 1981 as a welcome gift to his new job. In 1982 he gave it to me because he knew I love plants. It grew to be so huge that one year I made the mistake of cutting it down too drastically, and all that came back. Was one stem now as it grows a new stem of leaves the bottom leaves fall off. I am wanting to try to propagate this shift. It has become not just a plant but a true part of the family my father died in 2014 and I would be devastated if I lost this plant so I’m begging for any help I can get. I don’t know how to do all the hashtags so I’m hoping I can get help from anyone who reads this message .

Can you make a cut for new growth or for it grow at a lower place because it just keeps growing vertical #Schefflera

Starting over? #Schefflera this was my first plant that I ever took seriously, and I’ve managed to keep it alive through some difficulties for about three years. But I really didn’t know what I was doing and dislike the shape of it. I’d like it to be much bushier. Is there a way I can cut it back and basically start over? Or should I just try to propagate?

Weird spots! Help! I was inspecting Norman and discovered these raised spots on one cluster of leaves. I don't see any pests, but I'm still wary. Do I need to prune this section? #happyplants #umbrellaplant #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantdoctor #Schefflera

Help please! How can I save my plant? Should I cut off the top or will that severely damage the tree stalk? This plant is very special to me. #Schefflera

I am worried about this one. It was on my mostly shady front porch for about a year and I thought she was doing great. That was until I brought her inside back in January to keep her out of the super gusty winds we were having. Within just a week or two I noticed lots of new growth sprouting at the top so I decided to keep her inside. Since then she’s been thriving with new, wider growth. You can see the difference in leaves in the picture provided. About a week ago, she started dropping her older leaves and I can’t figure out why. Any ideas??
