@SilkyRoses oh I just love this!! And agree with Debbie @debbiedo a new job at a plant center 🤤 They might as well just pay me in plants if I ever did that 😂
@debbiedo @DreamMachine @Idplantthat I have only bought a few plants cause I mostly like tropicals and alot of the garden center plants are ones that would die every year so I stay clear of those. But its fun talking to customers about plant ideas and helping with their indoor plant questions. Staff discount is nice to but I really hate the humid conditions that comes with it.
@SilkyRoses what’s it like? If you don’t mind me asking? I would love working in a nursery, but my health rarely lets me leave home anymore. So I don’t get to get out and socialize, so I’m always curious! 👀 What would you say you like the best so far? Have you learned any tricks since being there?
@Idplantthat sorry for the delayed reply. I mostly just enjoy the outdoor environment specially on the cooler or rainy days, cause when its hot its just so much worse in the greenhouse humidity. I understand health issues I have chronic pain syndrome. But the reason I took this job is because I could literally pick what I wanted to work so I do 5 hr shifts 3-8 every second or other day for pain rest. New tricks not really its mostly tending to annual plants so very standard watering and dead heading. Helping the customers is amusing sometimes especially when you have common plant interests.
