How to fertilize Oak Leaf Othonna
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Oak Leaf Othonna after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

I just got a string of rubies from a friend of mine. I have no idea how to care for it. Any tips are welcome and appreciated!

My plant is dying . It looks the same whether I water or not. Am I over watering or under watering? Please help #RubyNecklace

Pinning in place What do y’all use to pin your plant into place? I got this cutting of a ruby necklace and I’m worried that the nodes won’t stay in contact with the soil so I’ll like to somehow pin a few in place. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #RubyNecklace #OthonnaCapensis

Can anyone tell me what's going on here and why? This has always been a beautiful plant but this summer it became very sparse at the top. What should I do? #happyplants #jodisplace #plantsmakepeoplehappy #succulentsquad #succulentlove #hangingplants #stringsofthings

Oof I’m killing it It’s turning brown and mushy after a repot - I need to repot again. Guessing it’s root rot. Any tips for the next try? I did succulent soil but I think I’ll try more perlite and definitely go with Terra cotta

Happy #succulentsaturday ! I got to pot a lot of my plants from my order, last night! I’m so happy with them! They all are healthy & beautiful! 1. Ruby necklace, & a new pot that my grandma got for my birthday. It’s so unique! I want to put something in the other holes, but haven’t quite figured out what yet. 2. My hybrid of some sort, not sure what kind yet. 3. Graptoveria Titubans, this was the only single I ordered, (I ordered three mystery sets) and specifically picked this one because I’ve had my eye on it for a while. I can’t wait till the variegation starts showing! 4. New frog friend I found last night, on my lamp, he watched me plant my succulents 😂🐸 pretty sure he is a tree frog, his eyes are super cool. (This isn’t the same frog I posted about a couple days ago, in my succulent arrangement pot, he moved out sadly after two days lol). 5. My boyfriend took me out to a couple plant shops today since he worked on my birthday, and got me a wishlist plant I’ve been looking for. A Moonshine Sansevieria! It also was a great deal since I got it for 10$! It’s a good size & healthy. 🪴 #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #SucculentLove #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent #SuccerForSucculents #SnakePlant #SnakePlantSquad #Sansevieria #repotting #Graptoveria #FrogsOfGreg #PlantLove #PlantHaul

What’s wrong with my Ruby Necklace plant ? My string of rubies recently started yellowing leaves, and some of the yellow ones look wrinkly, as if they need water. However I water every two weeks or so, (since they are a string succulent), and I only bottom water. We have been having less sun recently but it still getting sunlight. It was very healthy and happy until recently. I don’t think it’s overwatering, because I don’t water it often. I haven’t checked the roots for rot, because well.. we all know that repotting strings, can be a daunting task. I haven’t changed the pot/dirt since I got it, but I know I probably should since it’s from Home Depot. My strings never last in the dirt that it comes potted in. #SucculentSquad #Succulents #help #Greggers #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #SucculentLove

How do you determine when to water your othonna capensis? Its soil has been dry for a few days, but I don’t see any wrinkles on the leaves like I’ve seen in the past. However❕ the new ‘beads’ coming in appear stunted and small compared to the older ‘beads’ and I thought it could mean they wanted more water. 🤷🏻♀️ #RubyNecklace #StringOfRubies #terracottapots
