Canary Islands Juniper
About Canary Islands Juniper
Canary Islands Juniper is a super rare houseplant 🌿 that needs regular watering to thrive. They do best in long-lasting, direct light ☀️ and should be less than 1 foot from a window.
Canary Islands Juniper likes soil that is well draining. Your plant shouldn't need added fertilizers if you repot each time it doubles in size.
⚠️ Canary Islands Juniper is not safe to consume. If you, a family member, or a pet has ingested any amount of plant material contact Poison Control, US (800) 222-1222, or your veterinarian. If you have children, cats, or dogs in the home, we suggest keeping this plant out of reach.

How to fertilize Canary Islands Juniper

Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Canary Islands Juniper after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Would it be helpful to place my plant in the garage as temps drop? I just got him today so I’m a bit nervous about exposing to the colder weather but see how it might be important to maintain natural dormancy cycles #BlueStarJuniper

I bought from Costco about 6 weeks ago. Last week I noticed parts of plant getting brittle. This week even more. I water weekly. Any thoughts? #CreepingJuniper

Juniper Bonsai My juniper bonsai has been struggling for a while. Needles turning brown which have been mostly removed now. Also noticed the green needles have turned more pale. I water when I feel the soil is dry about a half inch to inch down so about every 3 days. SE facing window. Summer months I had AC on and had bonsai inside, windows closed. It did develop white web looking stuff on it which I was able to get rid of with neem oil. Now it’s cooled down, AC off, windows always open. Seems to be responding better. I just don’t know how often I should be watering given these conditions. This app says once every 10 days which seems too long given the top soil dries in 3ish. Any advice is appreciated! #Bonsai #SargentJuniper
