Finding light for Hydrangea in your home
a window
Hydrangea love being close to bright, sunny windows 😎.
Place it less than 1ft from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Hydrangea does not tolerate low-light 🚫.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Hydrangea in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Hydrangea
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Hydrangea after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What's up with my #hydrangea? Can someone tell me what's living on my #hydrangea? Should I do something against it (like spraying black soap)?

Are my hydrangeas in trouble or just dormant? Hey everyone, this is my first time caring for plants, and it’s gone well for the most part, but my hydrangeas seem unhappy. I can’t tell if this is a normal dormant period, or if they need som extra tlc. Could you please share some advice? I can take more photos if needed. Thanks! #Hydrangea

I THINK THERES A ROOT?! #plantexperiment Update: My hydrangea experiment (can they root in water) I believe is a success. I’ve heard some say it’s impossible and others say it can happen. Well, I think there’s a little root starting. For those who have been following this hydrangea #PropagationStation experiment, you’ll know that my attempts at rooting in peat moss various ways had failed, but this time it’s going strong. (And so is its azalea buddy, but no roots yet. Second pic, pot on the right) #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #NewGrowth #PlantExperimentTime #Hydrangea #tunnybiger

Help save my Hydrangea Hi! I’m a newish plant mama! I’m starting to venture out and my fiance got me a double delight Hydragea. I went to repot it and it’s been over 100 degrees in Cali right now. The next day the leaves were flopped over, some were crispy. The plant sat in shaded area, I even have a mister going to help with humidity. I brought the plant inside assuming it was just too hot outside and soaked in water, it’s by a window to get light but please help before it gets worse:( #Hydrangea

Hydrangea Propagation Problems! Alright, what am I doing wrong? Last week, I think, I cut off some newish growth on my hydrangea to propagate them. I looked up how to do it and followed it best I could. Instructions said to cut the leaves in half if they’re big, which they were. Stick em in peat moss, and keep em moist. The only things I didn’t do was dip the ends in rooting hormone (because I don’t have any), and put a bag over them to keep them humid (I don’t think I have a big enough bag). Can I save em? Or should I try to restart with new ones, and use the rooting hormone and smaller pot to put a bag over em?? #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth #PropagationStation #help #Hydrangea #WhatAmIDoingWrong
