About Hoya 'Sunrise'
With over 500 species and even more cultivars, there's a Hoya out there for everyone! They're native to Southeast Asia and their common name, waxplant, refers to their thick, waxy leaves which help them retain water in the heat. They're excellent climbers and will take off if you give them a trellis to grow on. Hello all! #GregFeedback, so happy to see this update! It feels like a real plant community 😊. Here is my first Hoya plant that I found at my local farmers market. SunnyJr aka Hoya Sunrise 🌅.

Plant update. This is the fastest growing hoya I have. In 25days, Fawkes grew 8new leaves thats an average of 1 every 3 days. Ive not sun stressed him yet. I think I like him green instead of red. Maybe #greggang has experience in sunstressing some spp of hoya? #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #hoya

This girl has been going strong since January 2nd when I first noticed a little peduncle. 6 months later and new blossoms replace the ones going by! Don’t know how long she’ll keep this up. I’m hoping through the summer 🥹🫣🤗 🌠💫✨⭐️ #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #NewGrowth #Hoya #HoyaHangout #ShootingStarsWaxPlant #HoyaHeads

My guess is scales, but it appears to be only a few leaves #Hoya

I have had this plant for several years now and I don’t think it has put on more than maybe two leaves but it also hasn’t lost any and has never bloomed. Is that normal or do I need to do something to encourage more foliage and blooms? Thank you! #Hoya

I bought these three separate starters in 2" pots a week ago. Should I repot them separately, or together? I'm only repotting now because I don't like the soil. #hoyacarnosa #hoyakrimsonqueen #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #repotseason #Hoya

My Hoya callistophylla was my favorite Hoya. Until this one arrived. Hoya clemensiorum. It’s so Jurassic looking and huge leaves. I just love admiring it. He’s pretty new so hasn’t done much in my care yet but so excited to see him grow. I’m new to Hoyas and can’t wait to have one bloom someday #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #HappyPlants #Hoya #HoyaHangout

Just brought this Hoya kerrii home today after spotting it at the grocery store and not being able to leave it 🤦♀️ I have a mix with soil, perlite, and orchid bark, will that be good? Any advice on how to get it healthy? #Hoya
