How to fertilize Golden Polypody
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Golden Polypody after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Just got this Virginia blue fern and within the week it started getting brown tips. #VirginiaBlueFern I placed it near an east saving window and have been keeping it moist. The tips of new growth browned and died off and I got a few crispy leaf tips. So i thought maybe it wasn’t humid enough. But the humidity in my house tends to be about 50-60%. It’s not that dry. So I’m not sure it was the humidity. I moved it to the bathroom that definitely gets humid. I think the crisping has stopped. But now the color of the leaves is no longer blue. It’s a very vibrant green. It seems there is a coating in the leaves that makes it have that bluish color and it seems to be gone. It looks healthy color for most plants but I want to get the blue color back. Could it be heat causing the blue color to go away? Has anyone had this experience? #HappyPlants #FernFriends

My fern is giving me the finger… So this guy looks like he’s flipping me off, and I can’t blame him. I’m not sure why ferns and I don’t get along— I’m thinking it’s a humidity thing— but he’s been slowly sagging since I bought him. Last week I trimmed all of his crunchy leaves, and now he looks bald. 😵💫🫠 The only ferns I have that seem successful are the ones inside of closed terrariums. Is the only option for this guy a humidifier? I’ve moved him to the bathroom where it’s a little more humid, but I’m not sure that’s doing much. #FernFriends #BlueStarFern #fernfrustrations #helpneeded
