By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Echeveria 'Ruby Kissed' after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Do I need to propagate? My Ruby Kissed Echeveria took off and grew like a weed. Now there appears to be tiny Echeveria at the base of the plant. Should I leave them there or take them off and plant them separately? #Echeveria #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PropagationStation #SucculentLove #NewPlantMom

My Ruby kissed #Echeveria is a happy girl! She’s so pretty and her flowers are beautiful! 🤗🥰

I adopted Miss Ruby and repotted bc I knew the soil she was in wasn’t good for her. But not she’s dying. Can I like propagate her??? Plz and thank you🫶🏽 #Echeveria

Okay, guys, no, i haven't forgotten to post an update about propagating Sam. But an update finally is able to come after finally realizing some VERY exciting news!!! Each propagated piece WORKED in some way, shape, or form!!! Instead of only 2 or 3 little bulbs growing off the main stem from the last update.... I can officially count 10 NEW PLANTS GROWING off of the stem!!! That's insane to me. It was my first attempt at this, and I got 10 just from the stem!!! The picture only shows the same perspective as the last picture update when I cut the plant, there's more in the back of the plant!! Moving on to the top cutting, I finally have 2 healthy roots growing in the water that can soon be potted!!! And finally, 3 of my leaves survived (because I think I was doing it wrong in the beginning and accidentally killed the others, but switched it up in time for the last 3) and they all have roots growing as well!! I'm super excited because if I count all of those successes, I have officially made 14 new plants out of one?!! 🫣 I'm super excited to keep noticing progress be made. I will continue to update as frequently as I can! #greggang

⚠️WARNING: This post may make people either cringe, get mad, or... all of the above...I possibly either made the best decision, or the worst....⚠️ I decided last night to try propagating Sam. The bottom leaves have been shriviling up and dying a lot. But the top half is beautiful and green! I checked the roots, and they are not rotted. They looked great! So I ended up assuming, yet again, it was a light problem only getting the top half somehow. I did notice new growth on the bottom of the stem. So I decided, "Why not use the new growth at the bottom to my advantage?" And I decided to research propagating. 😬 I'm very scared that something will go wrong, knowing my luck. But I had to try! I'll never learn if I don't try it. While I was at it, I gave Sam a new pot and made my own soil mixture for better grit and space for his roots. And I even decorated it a bit! 🩷 I will update soon if I see anything good happening... or if he dies 😓 we'll just have to keep trying until we get it right. I suppose if this doesn't work.

I GOT A BUG PROBLEM!! Uh oh... Sam has little bugs! They look like mites from my research :( This could also explain the rapid decrease in health for him?? I read up that 70% alcohol in a spray bottle could be a home solution for the pests. Is this true? Because if so I will start spraying immediately!

What's going on with Sam.. #greggang Hey Greg Gang, coming back with another question. What's going on with Sam? He's growing SO TALL!! But I'm scared he's not doing well, because I'm noticing his leaves sagging down. Almost like what might be over watering?? But he's only been watered one time since I've had him, and the dirt is still damp like it should be. I'm just not sure what's going on. He's had lots of light, and he's growing so well. But these leaves are throwing me in for a loop!

Should I take these off Sam?? Hey guys! Another question here. Sam is growing WONDERFULLY!! But there are some dead leaves (that have been dead since I got him sadly) around him. Would it be a good idea to remove them, or leave them be? Some of them look good by the stem, but the rest look dead all the way. So I'm just a little confused what I should do. Thanks #greggang!

Yay!! Sam is growing! Compared to when I first got him, his stem seems to be growing upward! I left him in my dorm over the weekend and noticed he grew a little sideways towards the window to get more sun. So I positioned him the opposite way, and now he's back up straight! 🩷☺️ here's a photo comparison from the first day to now! I'm feeling hopeful that this run with my plant will be successful! 🪴 What do you all think? Is he looking okay? ☺️ #growth #plantmom
