There’s a special kind of person that can coax this plant to bloom after the initial bloom when you buy it. As long as you water infrequently cause you can over water easily and this plant doesn’t like wet feet.

Overwatering, unlike other plants, is VERY lethal. I overwatered one time ,and even drained it after the mistake, and it lost all but one flower. Please remember to water on time and the right amount!!!!

I have had so much fun with this little orchid. I bought it with 2 stems full of beautiful flowers which lasted a few months. After they dropped I trimmed it back and with correct watering practices (NO ICE CUBES) And some orchid fertilizer it has grown a new stem, new leaves, and is about to bloom again within 3 months. I thought orchids were difficult until I got this one!

Once I learned that flowering blooms on my orchid are seasonal and not to be expected all the time (what high expectations these are, I realize), seeing continuing new leaf growth over the last year has been so amazing! This orchid is the first I’ve managed to keep alive, maybe because I kept watering it even when then the blooms fell off... so I’m quite proud. ☺️
