Calathea Royal Standard
About Calathea Royal Standard
Many of the houseplants we used to know as Calatheas now belong to the genus Goeppertia (say that three times fast). These plants have delightfully patterned leaves that come in all sorts of colors and shapes! Commonly known as prayer plants, the leaves of some species fold up at night through a process called nyctinasty meaning night movement! 😴

How to fertilize Calathea Royal Standard
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Calathea Royal Standard after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

Spots on Rose-Painted Calathea Meaning? I’ve had this calathea for nearly a month now. I recently noticed (~2 weeks ago) new these new spots. This is my first calathea, and I’ve heard people mention they can die easily. Should I be concerned? Does anyone know the potential causes? #Calathea #WHY

Any input would be appreciated. 🙏 #RoseCalathea Can anyone tell me what's going on with Elle? Its leaves are wrinkling up. I recently repotted it but the pot is not much bigger than the last one. Is there anything I should add? Or change?

I’m so sad. This plant was flourishing then suddenly it took a turn. And it’s been trimmed down to a few leaves left. And they are all brown. I have no idea what this problem is. Right now I’m trying soaking it in water for a 1/2 hour. #CathedralWindows

I have recently started parenting Cathedral Windows plants. I replaced the soil with fresh potting mix and keep the plant under grow light. I see most of the leaves drying out and dying. Any suggestions to protect it would be helpful! #CathedralWindows
