About calathea holiday
Many of the houseplants we used to know as Calatheas now belong to the genus Goeppertia (say that three times fast). These plants have delightfully patterned leaves that come in all sorts of colors and shapes! Commonly known as prayer plants, the leaves of some species fold up at night through a process called nyctinasty meaning night movement! 😴

How to fertilize calathea holiday
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your calathea holiday after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

What could be causing the brown edges and curling of the leaves? #RoseCalathea

Dark green spots on leaf tops, translucent spots on the underside I’ve noticed that Dolores is gaining spots. Is this something I should be concerned about, or maybe just that she was a leopard in a past life 🤷🏼♀️ I can’t see any beasties, but she does have that sugary sand on the leaf underside. She’s just had a shower.

Calathea power Some of these Calatheas (Goeppertia) have such will at living. Unlike others (I am having a hard time making Dottie and Silver Plate happen, my Cora is also quite grumpy at the moment..) But the White Fusion! (That I have only heard bad things about). And Yellow Fusion, and Makoyana. They just want to live, no mather what, it seems. And therefore I also end up with waay too many of each of them🙈 (can't throw away a part of the root that wants to liiive right?). It is 1 and 1/2 month since I repotted my white fusion, and this part was "left over". The tried old leaves are gone, but we are having new growth 🤗🌱 (Don't get me wrong, I still have yellow leaves and crispy edges, but they want to liive😆) #happyplants #plantsmakepeoplehappy #plantaddict #calatheacrew #calatheawhitefusion #newgrowth #freshleaffriday #adhdplantlovers #calathea #calatheacorner #goeppertia

Not sure what’s wrong Its leaves really shriveled up. It was doing well the first 2 months I had it but once daylight savings occurred it started not doing very well. I thought it wasn’t getting enough sunlight anymore so I bought a grow light but it doesn’t seem to be doing any better. I water it about once a week.
