Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.

How to fertilize Caladium Gingerland
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Caladium Gingerland after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My heart of Jesus isn’t going well… I keep him by the window and he just good sun light. I tired repotting him and that didn’t work. I water him when the soil is dry. It worked before so why is he dying now?

Yellowing Leaves My Heart of Jesus plant is starting to yellow. She’s pushing out new growth still but some of the bigger leaves are falling. Could it be too much sun? She is watered once a week and lives in a south facing window.

My heart of Jesus is not looking great I keep it under a grow light and water it every time the soil is dry.

Are drooping leaves normal? #Caladium #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #help #CaladiumCrew Hello! Some of my caladium’s leaves have been drooping recently and I was wondering if this was normal behavior? It’s growing a ton of new leaves, but at the same time, the bigger or older ones have been drooping. I have also noticed that the new leaves are coming out a lot greener in color. I am assuming that it’s not getting enough light so I moved it to another spot indoors that gets a lot of bright indirect light. I don’t think it needs water because the soil is moist still. What other action can I take to help my lil guy? Will the leaves stand back up? Should I just cut them off? Thanks!

New Growth Hi guys. A month ago my #Caladium was emitting an odd smell. So I got under the hood and found all kinds of root rot and the bulb was mostly mushy and smelled horrible. At that time I hadn’t repotted her since getting her from the store. After chopping until all the mush was gone and I found firm life I replanted it. I wasn’t very hopeful but now she’s so beautiful and has so much new growth it’s crazy. I can’t stop looking at her. I think I’m gonna take her for a walk. #HappyPlants #PlantParenthood #NewGrowth #BeforeAndAfter

Got this beauty the other day and I’m in love with it. It’s called a caladium Florida beauty. Couldn’t find the exact name in the app so did closest looking one. Anyways what are some care tips on it. Anything is appreciated just don’t wanna kill it It’s too pretty! I was told it likes wet feet so it’s already in a pot with drainage so I set it in a pot with no drainage with an inch or so of water. It’s also starting to give me a new leaf. It was already formed when I got it.

What other plant parents say
The leaves do die fairly quickly compared to many plants but they come back super fast. Since they grow from a bulb as long as you have lights and proper temperatures you can grow them easily indoors over winter. I add a layer of spagnum moss (about an inch deep) on top of my soil to keep humidity higher and moisture in for longer and she thrives.
Caladiums are beautiful but difficult. They’re supposed to go dormant over the winter so I try not to take it too personally but any kind of chill, like a window open or the air conditioner on near it can kill off a few leaves fairly quickly.
The stunning leaves are worth it though.
This place did not like the dry air in my kitchen so I moved it to the porch where it’s a bit more humid and it is thriving I have since gotten 6 new growths since moving it. With the proper care this plant can produce beautiful leaves, and when one dies off another will grow in its place, love it!
